When some officials proposed to import large compressors urgently needed for expanding fertilizer production capacity of the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, the respected Comrade General Secretary opted to produce the large compressors in a domestic way instead of importing them, regarding it as the important political issue of steadily carrying forward the ideal and tradition of self-reliance and strengthening the motive force of our revolution.
He earnestly said that as the Party is like the mother of the people, so the officials in the light-industry sector can be likened to their eldest sister.
