At the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee, held in December ２０２２, the respected Comrade General Secretary
On November ２６, ２０２３, the respected Comrade General Secretary, despite the cold and windy weather, gave field guidance at the Ryongsong Machine Complex where the production of high-performance large compressors was being pushed ahead with at the final stage.
Looking round large compressors, he expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the workers, scientists and technicians of the complex further doubled their confidence in their own strength and sci-tech abilities and dealt a heavy blow to defeatism and mysticism about technology through the production of the major custom-built equipment which would contribute to making our economy Juche-oriented.
That day he expressed great expectation that the workers of Ryongsong, who have upheld our Party, our state and our system with great revolutionary upsurge in the grim annals of the revolution, would lead the overall development of socialist construction by creating the spirit of the new era, the Chollima spirit of the new era.
The flames of the Chollima spirit of the new era he kindled in Ryongsong became the source of bringing about miracles and innovations in every worksite by redoubling the faith of all the people across the country in self-sustenance and self-reliance.
Key to Solving All Problems--Strength of Ideology, Political Offensive
It is the noble intention of our Party that we can bring about miracles and innovations if we arouse the masses’ revolutionary zeal and fighting will by dint of ideology and political offensive whatever the conditions and circumstances.
In the course of setting the fighting goal for the next year at the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee held in December ２０２４, some officials were considering about carrying some projects forward to the next year as they thought that it would be impossible to finish huge projects planned for the year ２０２５ with the existing cement output.
The respected Comrade General Secretary said that it could be solved if we go into the working class and arouse them to increased production, nothing is impossible when we enlist the masses’ spiritual strength, stressing that ideological strength can solve all the problems which cannot be settled by economical numbers.
It was the steadfast will of the respected Comrade General Secretary to open up the broad avenue for building a powerful socialist country, overcoming all difficulties by dint of political offensive.
That’s why, when he visited a factory, he was so pleased that the factory was giving priority to ideological education of employees and when he visited a worksite, he earnestly instructed to conduct the ideological education of all the officials and employees in a more offensive way and give full play to their mental strength.
The ideological and spiritual strength of our people fully displayed under the outstanding guidance of the respected Comrade General Secretary served as a great driving force giving birth to brilliant and world-startling transformations in economic construction.
To Set Practical Target and Stubbornly Attain It
The respected Comrade General Secretary inspected the Kumsong Tractor Factory on Aug. ２３, ２０２３.
He highly praised the factory for having laid a foundation for producing tractors with less cost price, practical efficiency and fine appearance by conducting a dynamic mass technical innovation movement to improve the performance of tractors and solving lots of technical problems arising in the production of parts.
He expressed satisfaction over the fact that the work to arm the employees fully with modern science and technology has been conducted in an effective way through the normal operation of sci-tech learning space.
Then he stressed that the factory should not confine its modernization target only to the visible goal for current agricultural production, but set a practical target for freely and satisfactorily producing and supplying efficient and quality tractors and farm machines suited to the specific conditions and requirement of our countryside by establishing the farm machine production process with comprehensive and modern features in keeping with the world standard and providing a large-scale production base and stubbornly attain it.
Looking up to the respected Comrade General Secretary, the officials hardened their will to bring about more brilliant success by living and struggling as wished by him.
To Make Even One Thing to Be Favored by People
On February ２２, ２０２２, the respected Comrade General Secretary saw samples of shoes produced by footwear factories.
Looking up to him who was giving detailed instructions while holding every shoe and judging its quality, officials were wrapped in great emotion as they keenly felt the devotion made by the great father for providing our people with high-quality shoes despite his busy work.
After seeing shoes one by one, the respected Comrade General Secretary emphasized that we should make even a pair of shoes in such a way they are comfortable and sound, and at the same time meet the tastes of the people and the aesthetic sense of the times.
As he regards the development of light industry not as simple economic and practical work but important political work directly linked with people’s life, the respected Comrade General Secretary sees that light industrial goods exhibitions are frequently organized and carefully guides the work to make all the goods enjoyed and favored by people.
Thanks to his noble intention and energetic leadership, our light industry is making tangible contributions to the improvement of people’s living standards and developing day by day.
