Fancy Regional-industry Factories on Bank of River Sujong
On the bank of the River Sujong are regional-industry factories of Kangdong County, whose inauguration tape the respected Comrade General Secretary
The Kangdong County Foodstuff Factory inspected by the respected Comrade General Secretary produces various condiments and tens of kinds of nutritive foodstuffs branded "Maekjon" like candies, cookies, liquor, bread and oil.
Here, the respected Comrade General Secretary personally tried the wheat sauce and wheat paste and gave detailed instructions as even to the shape of vinegar bottles.
According to a woman skilled worker at the soap workteam of the Kangdong County Daily Necessities Factory, the factory produces every month as much soap as to sufficiently supply to thousands of families in the county.
She said nothing is impossible with such wonderful equipment and raw materials.
An ordinary worker of the plastics workteam also expressed his zeal to massively produce plastic pipes for rural dwelling construction in the county.
The manageress of the Kangdong County Garment Factory showed us production sites equipped with modern textile apparatuses and warehouses fully stocked with various materials and explained enthusiastically about the bright prospect of the factory.
A young chief of its designing room was working round the clock with high ambition to make the "Chonggyechon"-branded clothes of Kangdong County popular in the country.
Looking round the regional-industry factories, we reminded ourselves of the precious instruction of the respected Comrade General Secretary that to achieve a leap forward in the local areas and provide the people with precious entities of prosperity and civilization are a sacred undertaking which our Party serving the people should unconditionally and consistently push ahead without a moment’s stagnation or delay.
Though it has only been six months since their inauguration, we could keenly feel the unanimous aspiration of working class and officials of the factories for making devoted efforts for the people and making the factories prosperous and the county rich.
We were full of boundless gratitude toward the respected Comrade General Secretary who puts the reinforcement of regional development policy in the new era forward as the pledge and oath our Party made before the country and the people and ushers in the heyday of transformation.
Public Catering Base for People’s Civilization
The Kangdong County Leisure Complex was full of laughter of the people enjoying the happiness of civilization provided by our Party.
The cozy yet modern cinema, the barber’s, the hairdresser’s, table-tennis room, the children’s play area and others were crowded with customers wearing bright smiles on their faces.
How come the home of civilization was created?
In February last year, the respected Comrade General Secretary attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the hospital and leisure complex in the county and gave the general idea of the leisure complex of which no one had the haziest notion.
We still remember the instructions of the respected Comrade General Secretary, who told that day that he was sure that when the sci-tech learning base was furnished with high-performance IT means and databases of various up-to-date sci-tech achievements, it would be of great help to the regional population, young people and children in particular, in approaching closer to modern science and civilization and acquiring the insight and qualifications needed to lead their regional economic and cultural development.
He also taught that the new leisure complex would be furnished with facilities for the people to see films and enjoy sports and cultural activities, commercial outlets with a clean sanitary environment, as well as various other welfare service facilities and that it was needless to say, such a cultural base would be very efficient in further enlightening the people, developing richer emotional feelings in them and training them to be pioneers and creators of a new culture.
On the day of inauguration, he affirmed that the cities and counties will be face-lifted and the spiritual state of residents transformed when leisure complexes are built in cities and counties, taught that a revolution does not simply mean physical transformation or the creation of material wealth, and stressed that it is essentially aimed at training the people to be powerful beings possessed of revolutionary ideological consciousness, all-round knowledge and high cultural level.
Thus, the Kangdong County Leisure Complex could announce its birth as the first of its kind in the world and as another wealth of civilization which only our people can enjoy.

Modern Public Health Establishment Resounding with Cheers for the Workers’ Party
"Now not only residents of Kangdong County but people of other villages visit our hospital."
This is what a department head of the Kangdong County Hospital told us.
We were pleased to hear such happy news at the wonderfully-built hospital.
In fact, there was originally a county hospital in the past as well, but it was imperative for the hospital to dispatch lots of patients to central-level hospitals owing to various circumstances.
However, all has changed after a new hospital was built.
Medical workers of the hospital resuscitated an ordinary worker of the Kangdong Coal Mine under the Kangdong Area Coal-mining Complex who had been in a critical condition due to an unexpected accident the day after the opening of the hospital.
The department head, saying that such a miracle was attributable to the new hospital built by the respected Comrade General Secretary and up-to-date medical equipment, is the very doctor who took part in the operation of the patient.
Not only doctors but patients also expressed their surging emotion, saying that it seems dreamlike for them to become possible to be treated at the hospital of their own village and they don’t know how to repay the boundless love and benevolence of the respected Marshal.
