In Days of Establishing Climate of Attaching Importance to Science and Technology
Shortcut to Implementation of Party Policy
Once, the respected Comrade General Secretary
That day, he dropped in at the general control room which the researchers of the State Academy of Sciences had arranged for grasping and controlling the production and management activities of the farm in a comprehensive way.
After being briefed on the water management system, he taught that science and technology constituted the important key to production growth and that they had to break with the backward way of thinking and working attitude of working in reliance on physical power and put the might of science and technology to good use.
Then, the manager of the farm informed him that they were saving much labor while doing the work with ease as compared with the past after having put production on a scientific footing.
The respected Comrade General Secretary said with satisfaction that he was also pleased to hear that the employees were doing more work easier and that the modernization paid off.
The officials were impressed.
The reality of the farm was unthinkable apart from the benevolent love and attentive care of him who led them step by step lest they should give up on the way of painstaking scientific research and lose courage.
A short while later, the respected Comrade General Secretary taught that the officials had to make positive efforts for arming the scientists and technicians with a high level of scientific and technological knowledge while putting them forward as required by the Party’s policy on attaching importance to science and technology, mindful of the fact that the shortcut to implementation of the Party’s policies lies in developing science and technology.
That day, the officials and scientists made up their minds to open a shortcut to the implementation of the Party’s policies and the avenue for building a powerful socialist state.
Most Crucial Issue
In October 2019, the respected Comrade General Secretary gave field guidance at a farm.
The officials of the farm were wrapped in great emotion.
That day, at the room for education in the revolutionary history, the respected Comrade General Secretary taught the accompanying officials that science and technology are the key with which to brave all hardship and that the agricultural scientific research institutions had to be made up-to-date as he had already mentioned earlier.
Noting it is a greatly crucial undertaking for settling the people’s food problem and the development of agricultural science and technology means the growth of agricultural production, he stressed as follows:
It is urgently needed to develop agricultural science and technology also in order to build communism. As farming is indispensable to the communist society, too, we should hold fast to the development of agricultural science and technology as the policy issue of great importance.
Listening to his words indicative of the necessity of development of agricultural science and technology and its weighty significance, the officials kept deep in their minds the truth that the main secret to growth of agricultural production lies in attaching importance to science and technology and that the development of agricultural science and technology is promising work which is not only for the increase in immediate agricultural production but also for the distant future of the country, and the most crucial work incomparable to anything.
