A few years ago, the respected Comrade General Secretary
Looking round various parts of the factory, he stressed the need to fix the price of pickled-fish dishes properly.
After learning about people’s demands for pickled-fish dishes and their production cycle, the respected Comrade General Secretary said that it was something admirable that the factory became able to mass produce pickled-fish dishes in an industrial way but the important thing is to improve the taste and fix price properly.
Then he earnestly instructed to make the factory the one conducive to the improvement of people’s dietary life and from which people can benefit substantially.
Officials fell deep in thought.
It was the respected Comrade General Secretary who initiated the construction of modern processing factory which produces pickled fishes in an industrial way for the first time in our country and the fishery station needed for its operation, chose their sites and personally named them.
He personally came to the spot and solved all problems arising in the construction of the factory including the issue of construction force, design and supply of materials.
Though he devoted great efforts to the building of the factory, he again took a benevolent measure for fixing the price low.
He instructed to produce various kinds of pickled-fish dishes in a qualitative way and sell them to the people at low prices.
Noting that pickled-fish dishes can be helpful in improving people’s dietary life only when they are cheap, the respected Comrade General Secretary ardently said that we should not give priority to economic calculation in doing things for the people.
Listening to his instructions full of fervent love for the people, the officials made their determination to become faithful servants of people who find more good things for the people upholding the noble outlook on people of the respected Comrade General Secretary who puts demand and interests of the people above all other affairs.
His Intention Reflected in High Appraisal
In July ２０１８, the respected Comrade General Secretary visited the Songdowon General Foodstuff Factory.
That day, he highly appreciated the factory, saying that the increasing popularity and demand for goods produced at the factory among people implied that the factory was doing its work well.
After making inquiries to an official of the factory about the supply of raw materials, the respected Comrade General Secretary again asked the official about the level of the factory, when comparing with other general foodstuff factories in provinces.
The official confidently replied that the factory was going to compete with renowned foodstuff factories of the capital city rather than those of the provinces.
Just then the respected Comrade General Secretary said with a hearty laugh that the official’s readiness to compete with national-level factories was the most pleasing answer.
He continued that the quality of foods which are served at tables of people should be same, whether they are produced by provincal-level foodstuff factories or by the national level factories.
His instructions reflect his earnest request that everything for our people should be the best one whether they are produced in the capital or in the local areas.
The officials were filled with great excitement for thinking that the rosy future when all the people across the country lead a happy and affluent life will surely come thanks to the peerlessly great man who ceaselessly covers the road of devotion to people.
