New Masters of New Villages
Chojang-ri of Kwaksan County is located in the Kwansang Plain where large-scale standardized fields stretch far away.

The village had become widely known as the village full of apricot trees after giving pleasure to the Chairman for sprucing up the village well ２０-odd years ago. And now a modern new rural village has been erected here under the benevolence of the Party and every house of the village is thickly covered with fruit trees. So it is given the nickname "fruit trees village".

Every night a gentle guitar melody is heard at the courtyard of the house of Ji Myong Jin, head of the repairing sub-workteam of the workteam No. ２.
Ji and his wife had their daughter learn to play the guitar after they moved into a new house. It is their unanimous thought that one can shoulder the future of the cultured socialist countryside only when he possesses high cultural and emotional attainments.
The bigger the country’s benevolence gets, the more fervent the Chojang-ri villagers’ zeal for repayment becomes. So, everybody is endeavoring after bumper harvest.
The ever-heated atmosphere of scientific farming in the Chojang Farm presents a new appearance changing along with the new village.
The farmers are preparing themselves as a group of worthy farmers, rooting out empiricism and mysticism about technology which had long remained among them as incurable and indigenous diseases.
