Fundamental Principle of Our Party Building
There are many parties boasting about their history in the world. However, there is no such a dignified Party as the Workers’ Party of Korea which is glorious with the revolutionary history of the leaders and shining with the august names of the leaders.
Tens of years ago, Chairman

That day the Chairman clearly indicated that it is the main line of our Party work and activities to thoroughly establish the ideological system of the President throughout the Party.
The Chairman regarded it as the basic principle of the Party building to develop our Party into the Party of the leader.
A party is the political weapon for realizing the idea and cause of the leader and only the party which holds fast to the idea and revolutionary exploits of the leader as the lifeline can maintain its revolutionary character as the party of the leader and guide the revolutionary cause of the popular masses straight to victory despite the passage of time.

Main Task to Be Held Fast to
The Chairman who set forth single-minded unity as the revolutionary philosophy of our Party and directed primary efforts to its realization put the single-minded unity of the whole Party and society on the highest level with his outstanding ideas, devoted leadership and great benevolence.
One day in January １９９４, the Chairman gave precious instructions to officials on strengthening the single-minded unity of the Party and the revolutionary ranks.
That day, the Chairman taught that strengthening the single-minded unity of the Party and the revolutionary ranks is an essential guarantee for firmly consolidating the socialist revolutionary position by strengthening the motive force of revolution and a decisive factor deciding the successful accomplishment of the Juche revolutionary cause and the destiny of socialism.
He continued that, with the single-minded unity of the Party and the revolutionary ranks, we can overcome whatever trials and obstacles and smash any enemies, adding that single-minded unity of the Party and the revolutionary ranks is the most powerful weapon only our Party, the Juche-oriented revolutionary Party, realized.
He earnestly instructed that strengthening the single-minded unity of the Party and the revolutionary ranks is the main task our Party should always hold fast to.
Listening to his instruction, the officials fell deep in thought.
It was, indeed, a great idea only the Chairman could clarify.
The single-minded unity of all the people rallied close around the Party, the solidest one based on the revolutionary comradeship and obligation, is the mainstay and the most precious wealth of our revolution.
We Should Go among the Masses
Once, the Chairman dropped in at an official’s room.
Seeing documents piled up on the desk, the Chairman asked him whether he had ever been to Sunan or Samsok.
The official answered in the negative.
Saying that it would have been good, if he had visited there, the Chairman taught that we should go among the masses and we will be able to know well the demands and wishes of the masses and solve their demand in their living.
Our Party’s important mission is to set correct line and policy reflective of popular masses’ demand and aspiration in time and powerfully mobilize the masses to its implementation, he said and went on:
In order for our Party to set correct line and policy, it first needs to know everything about the demands and difficulties of the popular masses. To this end, our Party officials should go among the masses.
True to his instruction, the official went deep among the masses and in this course he came to realize several important issues arising in people’s living.
After being reported about the work of the official, the Chairman said that such things can not be heard in the office, stressing that we should give ear to what people say.
Always among the people!
This is, indeed, the Chairman’s constant view and steadfast creed.
Be Genuine Mother
Once, the Chairman met with an official and gave precious instruction that Party officials should always go among the masses and solve the problems demanded by the masses with motherly affection.
That day the Chairman stressed the need for Party officials to possess a high degree of humanity and cultural attainments, adding that, in order to turn the Party into the motherly one, Party officials should become genuine mother of the masses, possessed of mother-like character.
Short as his instruction was, it reflected his request for officials to become genuine mother of the masses who devote themselves to people.
Mothers wish to provide their children with all the good things in the world and do not hesitate to go through thick and thin for their children.
The Chairman led our officials to look after the people with such motherly affection.
Thanks to his wise guidance, our Party could strengthen and develop into the genuine motherly Party taking care of the destinies and future of people.
