Photo Albums of Orphans

Wonsan Orphans’ Middle School has thick photo albums.

One has the letters reading "We are the happiest in the world" and the other "Photo album in commemoration of graduation" on their covers.

It was since the school, the cradles of orphans, was built into the one and only palace in the world thanks to the warm benevolence of the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un in April ten years ago that those photo albums appeared at the school.

Everyone is moved to tears, turning the pages of the photo album "We are the happiest in the world", as they keenly feel the great love of the motherly Party for orphans.

The photo album shows the bright looks of the children receiving benevolent gifts on significant holidays under the loving care of the respected Comrade General Secretary to make all the orphans lead a blessed life.

Among the photos kept in the album is also the photo of the children Kim Kum Myong and Song In Hui cutting the inauguration tape with scissors in their small hands on the day of the inauguration of Wonsan Baby Home and Orphanage ten-odd years ago.

When he gave field guidance at Wonsan Baby Home and Orphanage nearing inauguration, the respected Comrade General Secretary proposed letting the children cut the tape at the inauguration ceremony so that they might always remember that day even after they have grown up, adding how pleased President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il would have been if they had seen those children cutting the tape.

Those children who were greatly honored to cut the tape under his loving care are now bringing into full bloom their talents, cherishing the dream of becoming a renowned scientist and an artist, at the orphans’ middle school.

The photo album "We are the happiest in the world" is a meaningful register book conveying the love of our Party for orphans whereas the "photo album in commemoration of graduation" keeps photos showing the laudable looks of our children growing up to be pillars of the country with that love as the nutriment.

This photo album is especially filled with photos the orphans took in commemoration of their enlistment in the Korean People’s Army.

As they deeply kept it in the mind as the genuine expression of patriotism and due duty to defend the motherland, more valuable than anything else, at the cost of their lives, lots of graduates are joining the KPA.

This year alone, over 110 graduates who volunteered to stand at the national defence post have put their own photos into the album.

Through this fact, we can know well that what the orphans deeply cherished in their hearts in the course of preparing themselves as the successors to revolution under the great loving care of the Party is the ardent wish for repaying even a little the benevolence of the Party.

Laudable are also the looks of those who entered different universities including Kim Il Sung University and Kim Chaek University of Technology after leaving the school and 50-odd winners of the July 15 Top Mark Student Prize.

Indeed, the albums which keep photos depicting the bright and cheerful looks of orphans eloquently show how bright and rosy the future of our country is.
