Success in Grain Management Sector

Amid the ever-soaring patriotic zeal of all the people for thoroughly implementing the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the grain management sector has made another achievement.

According to amassed data, 20-odd city and county grain storage stations and tens of intermediary granaries have newly established grain-drying process planned for this year, thus laying a more solid foundation for supplying high quality grain to people.

The officials of the Ministry of Grain Administration worked out yearly plans for raising the grain drying capacity and dynamically pressed on with it, mindful of the importance of their mission in implementing the Party’s grain policy.

The ministry organized a demonstration of the grain management station in Anak County, South Hwanghae Province, which manufactured and installed a highly-efficient grain dryer and was operating it on a normal footing, in the late March last.

This year it made scrupulous arrangements for newly manufacturing and installing mobile and stationary grain dryer in tens of city and county grain management stations and intermediary granaries.

In particular, it concluded the design of grain dryer in close contact with the State of Academy of Sciences and Kim Chaek University of Technology in a short span of time with an ambitious goal of finishing the planned work by the harvesting season of early crops.

The officials and workers of the grain management sector, fully aware of the importance of increasing the grain drying capacity in preserving grain from loss and rotting, strived for carrying out their task at the scheduled date without fail.

Jangyon, Unchon, Sinchon, Jaeryong, Chongdan and Sinwon counties in South Hwanghae Province put spurs to the project for expanding the grain drying capacity while actively tapping latent reserves and kindling fierce flames of technical innovation.

Working classes of the city and county grain management sector in various regions including South Phyongan and North Hwanghae provinces devoted their clear conscience and sweat to increasing the grain drying capacity with awareness that they are also responsible for the country’s granary.

Now that a turn has been effected in increasing the grain drying capacity thanks to the vigorous struggle of the officials and working class in the grain management sector, different cities and counties are now dynamically stepping up the work of preserving and processing grain in time.
