For Leader, for Motherland!
Decades have passed since a war broke out on this land.
In June 76 years ago, our young Republic, less than two years old, was forced a war by the brigandish US imperialists.
The Fatherland Liberation War in which we had to defeat the insolent US imperialists, fattened up with aggression and plunder, and their vassal forces, was a hard fight equal to facing arbitrary robbers with bare hands.
However, the defenders of the motherland in the 1950s, beyond the expectation of the world people, inflicted ignominious defeats on the US imperialists, who were boasting of being "the strongest" in the world, to firmly defend the country and prevent a world war.
What strength gave birth to such a miracle?
What is the key to the miracle of the new-born Korea’s turning into a country of heroes?
A meeting for voluntarily joining the front was held in factories, farms and schools across the country true to the ideas and spirit of the historic speech "Let us wipe out the invaders by a decisive counter-offensive" President
Young people of the Republic vied with one another to join the army, expressing their ardent resolve to become soldiers of General
Among them were those who added it on though they were under the age for military service and advanced to the front, shouldering rifles longer than their own heights.
On June 26, the very day after the start of the war, a young soldier in his twenties blocked the enemy’s gun muzzle with his breast to open up the route of charge of his unit and died a heroic death.
The hero, by the name of Jang Thae Hwa, had joined the army though he had also wanted to do lots of other things after liberation.
That was because, only by doing so, he could defend the precious land and the dignity of a master and repay the benevolence of the President who freed him forever from the fetters of slavery.
He also remembered his mother’s request to render distinguished services in the army and his heart was always full of determination to unhesitatingly devote even his life to the one and only motherland.
We warmly recollect the brave hero Han Kye Ryol, who upheld the torch of "My Height" movement, the symbol of the mass heroism movement of the soldiers of the People’s Army in the period of the Fatherland Liberation War.
The young platoon leader who stood up like a phoenix at the height, where the flag of the Republic was fluttering, earnestly shouted to his platoon members out in the hand-to-hand fight.
"The height of the country is my height!"
The country he defended so steadfastly with all his passion and love till the last moment of his life was no less than the embrace of the President.
In defence of the embrace, lots of brave fighters charged like phoenixes shouting "Long live General
The operation for liberating Seoul, the Jumunjin naval battle, the operation for liberating Taejon, the battle for defending Wolmi Island…
The mercenaries who fought for money were no match for our soldiers who fought for the leader and the country.
Our army full of endless loyalty to the leader and ardent love for their country versus the army seeking for a little sum of money--herein lies the inevitability of our victory in the war, a showdown between rifle and A-bomb, and the key to a miracle.
For the leader, for the motherland!
This faith which was kept deep in the hearts of all the people and soldiers throughout the war days is still echoing in our hearts.
The spirit of hero Ri Su Bok, who stopped the embrasure of the enemy’s pillbox with his breast without hesitation, shouting there is no such precious life, beautiful hope and great happiness as to devote life and youth to the one and only motherland, still pulsates in the hearts of millions of young people.
The heroic soldiers in the 1950s, who proved in reality that one can readily defeat the imperialist aggressors welding A-bomb if one absolutely trusts in and relies on one’s leader and is determined to dedicate one’s life without hesitation for an inch of land of the country, left a precious truth on this land.
No one can match the people united with one mind and one will for the leader and the country and herein lies invincibility and glory of life!
