Upsurge of Patriotism of All People
By Bringing Up Large Unit of Patriots
The eighth term of the Party Central Committee was recorded as years full of pride when all the people grew extraordinarily stronger in their patriotic feelings and the socialist patriotic movement, revolutionary mass movement was launched with greater breadth and depth to produce eye-opening successes in all the domains of the state and social life.
The respected Comrade General Secretary
This bore a noble intention of the peerlessly great man to prepare all the people to be true patriots and revolutionaries devoting their all to the construction of a powerful socialist country with the single mind of patriotism.
At the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee in December ２０２２, he taught to actively organize and properly guide the socialist patriotic movement, the revolutionary mass movement which is the powerful driving force for prosperity and development of the state and to pay primary attention to firmly adhering to and inheriting the tradition of loyalty peculiar to the Korean revolution and the tradition of patriotism peculiar to our state and advance the revolution by dint of loyalty and patriotism.
In November ２０２３, he said it is imperative to arm all the people with patriotism and unite them with patriotism, saying that he persistently holds fast to the slogan "Let Us Unite with Patriotism!"
Then at the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee, held in December that year, he set this slogan as a slogan of patriotism which all our people should hold up.
Such ardent appeal of patriotism and noble intention of his served as a motive power which encouraged all the people in the country to more firmly unite with ardent patriotism and turn out as one in the cause of building a powerful socialist country.
At the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee, the respected Comrade General Secretary assigned a task of manufacturing important custom-built equipment to the Ryongsong Machine Complex.
Better still, he wisely led the production process so that it could be a meaningful occasion for the working class of the complex to perform miracles and feats true to the Party’s intention.
On November ２６, ２０２３, he inspected the Ryongsong Machine Complex and had a look at the major custom-built equipment produced by the complex and taught that the whole country should model after the advancing spirit and fighting morale of Ryongsong.
And he expressed great expectation that the workers of Ryongsong, who have upheld our Party, our state and our system with great revolutionary upsurge in the grim annals of the revolution, would lead the overall development of socialist construction by creating the spirit of the new era, the Chollima spirit of the new era.
The fighting spirit created in Ryongsong under his wise leadership spread across all the worksites throughout the country and let the spirit of loyalty, the spirit of self-reliance and the great patriotic spirit flare up in every theater for socialist construction.
Thanks to such great love and trust of his, the working class of the Sangwon Cement Complex and the colliers of the Jagang Provincial Supply Coal Mine under the Kaechon Area Coal Mining Complex, too, grew up to be excellent pioneers of patriotic movement for increased production.
Our young people also gave birth to gigantic monuments to youth one after another with enthusiasm, bravery and fighting efficiency of the patriotic youth in the new era, adorning the past five years as a fresh turning point of youth movement in our country.
In the important letter "Demonstrate to the Full the Might of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League on the Historic March towards a Fresh Victory in the Revolution" which he sent to the １０th Congress of the youth league held in April ２０２１, the respected Comrade General Secretary set it as the basic task facing the youth league at present to train all young people into patriots who staunchly defend socialism and work with devotion for its construction.
Entrusting the gigantic theaters of socialist construction wholly to the young people, he intended them to become the backbone of the revolutionary ranks of today and the vanguard of socialist and communist construction just like the young communists became the hardcore in pioneering the revolutionary cause of Juche and the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters became the pivot in building the country.
He assigned the construction of a new street in the Sopho area of Pyongyang to our young people and named the new street built by them "Jonwi Street" in order to add eternal glory to their distinguished services.
He personally attended the departure ceremony of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade to be dispatched to the rehabilitation campaign areas in North Phyongan Province to warmly see the young people off and went out to the spot where they worked and described the soldier-builders and members of the youth shock brigade who volunteered for the flood-hit areas as the vanguard fighters who have taken the lead in the honorable struggle for the great people whom the Party upholds as Heaven.
Indeed, the young vanguards are reliable successors who are glorifying their precious time of life under the benevolent care of the respected Comrade General Secretary.
The lofty intention and great trust of the respected Comrade General Secretary became the driving force which enabled all the people in the country to make proud history of national prosperity, more firmly united with patriotism.
Our people will give free rein to the great strength of patriotism and bring earlier the bright future of socialism of our style.
