Contests of Lathe Operators and Pipe-makers Held in DPRK

Contests of lathe operators and pipe-makers were held as part of the Contest of Skilled Workers with Different Jobs in Various Sectors of National Economy-２０２６ at the Kumsong Tractor Factory in the DPRK from June １０ to ２５.

The contests assessed the basic theoretical knowledge, workload and quality of products. They brought together tens of skilled workers selected from ministries and national agencies, including the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Machine-building Industry, and Pyongyang Municipality and provincial people’s committees.

The participants ensured at a high level the quality indices for processing parts and sheet metal products needed for the production of tractors and tillers while displaying their skills they have improved through the vigorous campaigns in which one overtakes and learns from others and swaps experiences with them.

The standings were announced on June ２６ and the excellent skilled workers were awarded trophies and medals and diplomas in the name of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea. And the prizes were awarded.
