Recollecting Respected Comrade
Holy Place Where Victory in War against US Imperialism Was Originated from
The respected Comrade General Secretary
That day, he looked round the Supreme Headquarters command post and the surroundings and instructed that the historic site was a holy place where the history of President
Then he noted that the President could lead the three-year war to victory, not for favorable conditions, but with the outstanding and prominent leadership, far-sighted strategies and noble virtues which no one else could possess.
At the time when it was less than five years from national liberation and two years from the founding of the Republic, the US imperialists who were boasting of being "the strongest" in the world inflicted a war, leading the imperialist aggressor forces, upon our country, which was literally so young.
The world people call the fierce Fatherland Liberation War a showdown between rifle and A-bomb.
Our people were faced with a crucial moment whether to become slaves again or to defend the land of the country and with the first harsh ordeal after liberation.
However, they could achieve a brilliant victory by frustrating the imperialist allied forces as they had the President, a prodigious military strategist and an ever-victorious iron-willed commander, and the invincible unity of all the people and the entire army around him.
The Supreme Headquarters command post where the President drew arrows of victory to put the US imperialists to shame--our President, shouldering the heavy burdens of a serious war decisive of the destiny of the country and people, stayed in such a humble house.
This is where the road of victory was provided for our people and the military miracle in the 20th century was wrought.
Our President Was Sent by Heavens
There are holes punched by the enemy’s strafing on the wall of the President’s office room and an unexploded 500kg-heavy bomb left stuck near the Supreme Headquarters command post.
The respected Comrade General Secretary, looking at the unexploded bomb, taught that the consequence would have been severe if the bomb had gone off, that the President was truly sent by the Heavens and that the holes punched by the enemies’ strafing and the bomb which fell near the Supreme Headquarters command post alone show the President led the war to victory in a very dangerous place.
It was on the night of July 29, 1951, when the enemies made an air raid on the Supreme Headquarters command post.
That day, the US pilots who flew there after a radio contact with the hired spies strafed toward the office room of the Supreme Headquarters where the President stayed.
That day, the bullets got stuck in a place less than two meters away from where the President was sitting.
After failing to achieve their goal, the spies controlled the enemy planes via radio to bomb this place again in August 1952.
When the enemies were turning the area into a sea of flames by dropping 150 bombs with nearly 140 planes, the President was controlling the evacuation of units around the Supreme Headquarters standing at the entrance to the tunnel.
At that very moment, a 500kg bomb dropped just 20-odd meters away from where the President stood.
Fortunately, it was a dud bomb.
It was the only unexploded one of the 150 bombs dropped by the enemies.
Like this, the holes made by the enemies’ strafing on the wall of the office room used by the President and the unexploded bomb which fell near it are historic evidences showcasing the vicious moves of the enemies who attempted to harm the Supreme Headquarters and what a grave war our President fought.
In spite of such difficulties, our President led the war to victory with confidence in sure victory and optimism.
Shouldering All Heavy Burdens for Revolution
There is the operation room associated with the immortal leadership exploits of President
The respected Comrade General Secretary, carefully looking at the desk and chairs arranged in the operation room and the military maps filling the walls, warmly said it is so simple and modest place that one can hardly call it an operation room used by the supreme commander of a country, adding that in the room the President honorably protected the destiny of the country and nation and brought about the beginning of a downhill turn for the U.S. imperialists. And he added that the President who shouldered all burdens for revolution led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory and drove the US imperialists into an abyss of ruin while leading such a plain life.
In this small operation room the President set forth the original strategic and tactical policies for smashing the enemies’ "summer offensive", "autumn offensive" and "new offensive" and matured his operation plan for war victory; he also wrote the classic works including the report of the fifth plenary meeting of the Party Central Committee there.
In this room the President personally commanded the fighting on the small hilltop "T" while receiving reports on movement of the artillery units once every half an hour for 12 hours. Chairman
That was not all. Every corner of the historic site is associated with the efforts of the President who hardly rested during the Fatherland Liberation War while smashing the US imperialists’ aggressive attempts and taking care of the whole country.
Eternal Treasure of Our Revolution to Be Conveyed Forever
The respected Comrade General Secretary had a souvenir picture taken with the accompanying officials and officials of the historic site in front of the Supreme Headquarters command post on the unforgettable day. Then he said that he felt the great personality of the President, the general of guerrilla, going around the command post and the site is the eternal treasure of our revolution to be conveyed forever generation after generation.
His meaningful instructions reflect his firm will to endlessly glorify the immortal exploits of the President for the war victory.
Presently, going round the newly built Fatherland Liberation War Museum he said that the President led the war to victory to perform undying feats in the history of the Korean revolution and the world revolution. He continued that the relics and data in the Fatherland Liberation War Historic Site, which show that the people and army led by the President would surely win the victory and how important the role of the leader in the revolutionary struggle was, are the eternal treasure of our revolution which cannot be erased and we should never forget.
That day, he gave precious instructions to arrange the surroundings of the Supreme Headquarters command post associated with the revolutionary activities of the President like a semi-panoramic picture for suiting to the surrounding geographical features.
So, the historic site was arranged like the original one to be conveyed long through generations.
Now, the visitors to the Supreme Headquarters command post say one another that they feel as if the President in military uniform of wartime stood in the courtyard wearing broad smile on his face.
Indeed, the Fatherland Liberation War Historic Site is the sacred place telling about the history of great victorious war, the lifeline of our revolution which is firmly carried forward and all the things in the historic site associated with the precious revolutionary exploits of the President being glorified as the eternal treasure of the revolution.
