First Defeat of U.S. Imperialist Aggression Army in Korean War
Numberless world-startling miracles were created in the Korean War in the mid-twentieth century.
The U.S. imperialists who had been accustomed to win sanguinary wars of aggression made "predictions" of their victory in the Korean War, bragging before the world that they would have breakfast in Haeju, lunch in Pyongyang and dinner in Sinuiju.
However, the history went into reverse.
It can be well evidenced by the Osan battle where the "Smith Commando" of the U.S. imperialist aggressors was destroyed.

In order to check the counter-offensive of the People’s Army, the U.S. imperialists hurled ground forces on a large scale into the Korean front. By doing so, they sought to turn the war situation becoming unfavorable for them at any cost.
So, the ２４th Infantry Division of the U.S. forces was committed to the Korean front from Japan.
The KPA unit advancing to the direction of Phyongthaek-Taejon encountered with the advance troops of that ground force in Osan for the first time.
The advance troops consisted of the １st Battalion of the ２１st Regiment under the ２４th Infantry Division of the U.S. forces and the ５２nd Field Artillery Battalion. It was named "Smith Commando" after the commander of the １st Battalion of the ２１st Regiment.
Obeying the order of the President, the tankmen of the ３０th Tank Regiment of the KPA plunged into the battle against the advance troops of the U.S. imperialist aggression army in sky-high spirits.
This was the first fierce battle between the KPA and the U.S. imperialist aggression army. Osan turned into a scene of decisive battle between defenders of justice and aggressors.
Despite the enemy bombing, the tankmen mounted an assault on the field artillery battalion to totally isolate the infantry of the "Smith Commando" and the １８th Infantry Regiment encircled and annihilated the isolated enemy by a single attack.
It was July ４, the "Independence Day" in US local time.
Like this, the advance troops of the US imperialists were destroyed and the U.S. imperialist aggression army suffered a defeat in its first battle with the KPA.
