Making Sure That Whole Country Is Fully Governed by Socialist Morality
More Important Than Education in Law Observance

The respected Comrade General Secretary taught that the law played an important role in establishing systematic order throughout the society but what is more important than it was moral education.
If moral question is solved, the problem of establishing law discipline will be solved spontaneously, he noted and went on:
Moral education is more important than education in law observance.
His instruction was a meaningful one implying that morality which is observed willingly according to one’s conscience plays more important role in preserving the original features of socialism and displaying its advantages than the law which is kept through control.
Bearing deep in their minds his instruction, the officials fell deep in thoughts.
A country lacking in morality is bound to get weaker however strong its economic and military power may be, and eventually will be collapsed like a wet mud wall.
The present era, when the struggle for the building of the socialist civilized power is being vigorously waged, demands for more firmly preparing all members of society as the genuine working people who are sound in morality.
Seeing through the importance of the role of morality in all works, the respected Comrade General Secretary said, in the historic letter he sent to the participants in the Second National Conference of the Party Primary Information Workers in March that year, that efforts should be put into the education work for establishing a moral discipline throughout society to meet the high requirements of the building of a powerful socialist nation, so as to ensure that everyone helps and cares for each other and lives a civilized life.
Listening to his instruction, the officials keenly realized once again his noble intention to build our country into the one which is defended by morality, not by the law, and where socialist civilization flourishes.
It Should Be Steadily Intensified
Once, the respected Comrade General Secretary instructed officials to thoroughly establish the socialist moral trait throughout the society.
At present, the work for establishing the socialist moral trait throughout the society is being conducted and socialist moral trait is not established by appealing for and placing stress on observing morality well or pressing on with it for a short span of time, he said.
Then he stressed that the Party, government organs and working people’s organizations and all members of the society, mindful of the Party’s intention of giving importance to the establishment of moral trait, should steadily intensify the work as required by the times and the developing revolution and thus make the noble and highly civilized socialist moral trait prevail in the whole society as a national trait.
The officials were lost in thought.
The respected Comrade General Secretary constantly pays deep attention to thoroughly establishing the socialist moral trait.
The mightiness of a state is not measured merely by the size of its territory, population, economic and military strength.
A country in which all the people live harmoniously full of the zeal for devoting their all to others and thus are firmly united as one is just a truly powerful state which no one dares provoke.
Presently, the respected Comrade General Secretary gently said that it is the Party’s plan and determination to make the whole society overflow with excellent virtues and affection and build people’s paradise, our-style socialism advancing with excellent virtues and affection.
His instruction that the noble and civilized socialist moral trait should be established as a national trait is a precious one we should firmly hold fast to in further strengthening our-style socialist system.
