All the people look back with deep emotion on the undying exploits of President
The President indicated the path ahead of Korean revolution in the early period of revolution and established ideological and theoretical guidelines, fighting principles and methodologies for all the domains of building the Party, state and the army, and reforming people and society in the course of leading the prolonged and arduous revolutionary struggle and construction to victory.
One day in March １９４７, the President taught about the line of building the self-supporting national economy and instructed that intending to build an independent sovereign state without building a self-supporting national economy was no more than trying to build a castle on the sand, and after all, nothing but a daydream.
Actually, no one could imagine our country, which had inherited the outdated and backward colonial economy, to decide on building a self-supporting economy.
However, as it was the only way to consolidate the eternal foundation of the country restored at the cost of blood and guarantee the prosperity of all generations to come, the President consistently adhered to the line of building a self-supporting economy throughout the revolutionary leadership.
There are lots of other stories showing the farsighted acumen and rare insight.
We still remember that our President, already foreseeing the victory in the grim days of war, recalled the students fighting on the front to make them continue studying and go abroad for study.
He also saw that the State Academy of Sciences was newly built to play a big part in promoting the sci-tech development of the country.
He let the designing officials formulate the general plan for reconstruction of Pyongyang and initiated the work for developing the tidelands on the west coast and northern highlands.
As our President was convinced of the victory and took important measures in the flames of war like this, our people could move onto the rehabilitation as soon as the war stopped and powerfully propel the socialist construction in the Chollima spirit.
His famous aphorism that revolution can be neither exported nor imported powerfully encourages our people’s struggle with the unchangeable truth that we should take responsibility for the revolution of our country and carry it out by our own efforts.
His original idea that communism is the people’s power plus the three revolutions still reminds us that our President is the peerlessly great man who truly looked far ahead into the distant future.
At the stock farms and pastures swept by the fierce wind of scientific animal husbandry, we recollect the instruction of the President on rearing domestic animals on grass instead of grain fodder in order to solve the meat problem.
At schools full of children’s voices reading their texts, we can visualize the solemn image of the President who already reflected the idea on reinforcing compulsory charge-free education when formulating the "Ten-Point Programme of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland" for the ever-prosperous future of our country.
Even in the last days of his sublime revolutionary career, he convened a consultation of senior officials in the economic sector to open up the bright prospect for the socialist economic construction.
Our people are living in the future into which our President looked ahead and under the blessings he left to the posterity and are carving out the gigantic course for the era of our state-first principle with the foundation for rejuvenation and prosperity secured by the President as the guarantee.
We are full of the pride in the path we covered following our President and ardent resolve to achieve more brilliant victories and realize without fail the lifelong desires of the President and Chairman
We will advance toward the bright future unfolded by the President unbendingly and build a powerful and prosperous socialist country on this land at any cost by upholding the leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary
