The President founded the Workers’ Party of Korea, a revolutionary party of Juche type, and intensified and developed it into an ever-victorious steel-strong party.

He put his heart and soul into securing a firm foundation for Party founding in the flames of the great anti-Japanese struggle.

Thanks to the energetic guidance the President made in order to found a party which would take responsibility for the destiny of all the Korean people and lead it to brilliant victory, the cause of founding the Party could be accomplished successfully in spite of the complicated situation after liberation of the country.

It is the great achievement made by the President that he thoroughly embodied the Juche-oriented Party building ideas and theories to the Party building and activities in the days of revolutionary leadership to intensify and develop it into the powerful political headquarters of revolution, an invincible party.

What takes up an important part in the President’s revolutionary legacies is the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the genuine people’s state.

Having accomplished the historic cause of national liberation, the President founded the DPRK to realize the long-cherished desire of our people who had been longing for their genuine government.

The President led the anti-imperialist, anti-feudal democratic revolution, socialist revolution and socialist construction to victory and built a socialist state, independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence.

The President established the most advantageous socialist system where the popular masses are the masters of everything and everything serves the popular masses and made ours the socialist country centered on the popular masses.

Revolutionary Armed Forces and Self-supporting Defence Industry

Once, Chairman Kim Jong Il taught that the immortal revolutionary exploits our President performed in building up defence capabilities are the most brilliant of all his achievements and that the invincible revolutionary armed forces and solid defence industry are the most precious of the legacies bequeathed by the President.

The President founded the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army to achieve the historic cause of national liberation and the Korean People’s Army to lead the grave war against the imperialist aggressors to victory.

Thanks to the President who established a self-supporting defence industry while cementing the politico-ideological and military and technical might of the People’s Army, our country could powerfully push forward with socialist construction, emerging ever-victorious in the protracted showdown against the US imperialists.
