This figure reflective of the patriotic will of the President is associated with his immortal exploits for the country and people.
Our people still recall with deep emotion the venerable image of the President guiding the consultative meeting of senior officials in the sector of economy on July ６, １９９４.
That day the President said that it is the most glorious and worthwhile work, the utmost happiness and honor for revolutionaries to devote their all to the popular masses, adding that he struggled for the sake of people trusting in them, lived among the people all his life and that his whole life is the one devoted to the country and nation. He continued that he would always be among the people in future, too.
The President ceaselessly made his long journey of devotion with the noble desire for glorifying the country and bringing into full bloom people’s happiness, regarding the pain he takes for them as his pleasure.
Endless stories were born along with his immortal journey, touching heartstrings of people.
The President went to Kangson to meet its workers for the building of a new country above all, without visiting his birthplace Mangyongdae on the way.
In the days of fierce Fatherland Liberation War, the President went even to the forefront to meet the KPA soldiers one by one.
That’s not all.
One day less than three months after the ceasefire, he visited a power station located in a rugged mountain terrain and stepped into the dangerous cave where high-voltage cables were dangling over the ceiling and walls without hesitation despite dissuasion of officials.
Thanks to his great journey of endless devotion and warm love for the people, a legendary Chollima (winged horse) could be born on the debris of the war and Juche-oriented socialism independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence be built on this land.
The President continued his energetic field guidance even on his birthday, holidays and Sundays.
Once, anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters expressed their regret over the fact that the President went on field guidance even on his birthday.
He said that he couldn’t celebrate his birthday care free as people’s living standards were yet not so high so he went on his field guidance at local areas even on his birthday.
Indeed, every nook and corner of the country is associated with the traces of devotion for people left by the President.
Therefore our people are filled with more profound yearning for the President and the boundless pride of holding him as the eternal father as time passes by.
