Persons They Met on Ridgeway

One day in June last, researchers of the Academy of Coal Mining Science on their way back after finishing their official trip to the Kyongwon Area Coal Mining Complex had their car broken down on a ridge way of Riwon County in a pouring rain.

They felt very anxious as it was late at night and there were no human traces. All of a sudden, they spotted some people dashing towards them in the rain at a dim distance.

They were traffic security men of the Riwon County Security Department who were on duty at the traffic command post.

After being acquainted with the whole circumstances, the traffic security men led all of them to a hostel, saying that they would take care of the car.

A few hours later, the researchers were surprised when they were informed that their car was ready.

They expressed gratitude to the traffic security men.

Saying that it is their due duty to help the researchers devoting efforts to the development of the country’s coal industry, the traffic security men wished all the researchers success in their future work.

Seeing them, the researchers keenly felt once again the spirit of devoted service to people possessed by the faithful servants of people and the advantages of our society in which all the people help and lead one another forward.

Honorary Employee

One day in June last, the Sangwon Cement Complex was visited by a woman again.

She was Om Hui Sun, a woman living in the Myongdang Workers’ District in Sangwon County, who had been devoting sincerity to employees of the complex.

Greeting her with joy, the employees said that it was her birthday and she should have celebrated her birthday at home rather than visiting them.

She replied with a smile on her face that all the employees were as good as her real children and therefore she came to celebrate her birthday together with them.

The employees were deeply moved.

Fervent was, indeed, devotion she made to the employees.

All the employees of the complex affectionately call her "honorary employee".

This call gives a glimpse into the ennobling devotion made by the people in our era for the working class of Sangwon, who uphold the Party’s intention in the van.
