True Meaning of Patriotism He Taught on Inaugural Day
The inauguration ceremony of the Kangdong County Hospital, the first entity of modern regional hospitals, was held with splendor in the presence of the respected Comrade General Secretary
In his speech, the respected Comrade General Secretary wished the people in Kangdong County good health and happiness along with model medical facilities which helped completely reverse the existing conception of a regional hospital.
Going round various parts of the hospital, he taught in detail tasks to be tackled in the operation of the hospital.
He dropped in at a doctor’s room on the second floor.
Saying that the last time he visited the hospital he instructed to remove all the partition walls of the room, he expressed satisfaction over the room affording an open view.
Seeing lots of computers arranged on the desks of doctors, he instructed to establish the management system of the hospital well.
When having a look at a bookshelf, a shadow passed over his face.
Accompanying officials were puzzled.
Looking around the officials, the respected Comrade General Secretary said that the height of bookshelves installed on the desks of doctor’s room was low and pointed out the defects of bookshelves which were designed without considering the size of case history sheets of the hospital.
Our designers are still neglecting numbers, he added and went on:
They say that they would design desks again while using those already-made bookshelves for other purposes, and even if they do so, the country’s wood resources would be wasted anyway.
He continued that patriotism can also be expressed in reducing defective construction and manufacturing.
It is just patriotism to achieve one’s goal by economizing on the country’s resources and funds and such a person is truly a patriot, he ardently said.
Even seeing such trivial furnishings, the respected Comrade General Secretary noticed the wrong thoughts of designers and taught what attitude a true patriot should take.
As he is a peerless patriot who puts his heart and soul for the country, the respected Comrade General Secretary leads people to live and work cherishing the genuine patriotism everywhere he goes.
In the historic policy speech he made at the First Session of the １４th Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the respected Comrade General Secretary earnestly instructed that raw and other materials, funds and manpower should be economized as much as possible and the expenditure be made cost-effective so that all the resources of the country may contribute to the development of the state to the maximum.
