１ １５０-odd Greenhouses Are Filled with a Variety of Vegetables
Spectacular indeed are the various types of greenhouse buildings stretching far and wide in the Wihwa Island area.
What is even more impressive is the scene of different vegetables which fill the greenhouse buildings numbering over １ １５０.

Better still, it has a geothermal cooling and heating system, which makes it possible to normalize vegetable production all the year round.
One of its employees boasted that they harvest cucumbers in the modern "greenhouse factory" almost every day and that they have picked well over hundreds of tons of cucumbers for the past five months since the inauguration of the farm.
The Sangdan Farm cultivates ten-odd kinds of crops and tens of species of vegetables.
It is so surprising that they harvest hundreds of tons of diverse fresh vegetables in a single day.
The greenhouse buildings at the Sinuiju Vegetable Science Research Center are also full of vegetables.
The vegetable cultivation technologies studied and perfected here are disseminated to the greenhouse farms across the country as well as the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm.
The Wihwa Island area has turned literally into a sea of vegetables and its air is full of vegetable fragrance, which leads to the people’s happiness and laughter.
The fragrance of vegetables which fills the northwestern end of the country is not a result of nature’s light and heat.
It is the outcome of our Party’s ennobling plan and devoted service for the people to make the capital envious of the regions, to make regional rejuvenation represent the progress and development of our state and to make the true image of our style of socialism mirrored on the ideal appearance of the regions in the new era.
The exciting reality, in which an endless sea of greenhouses has presented itself on the Wihwa Island and the fresh vegetables harvested there add pleasure to the people’s dietary life, convinces us that the policy of the Workers’ Party for the people is the best and it is always turned into brilliant reality.
