The Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery at the foot of Mt Sokpak adds eternal glory to the souls and feats of martyrs who brought about the miraculous victory in the war with the absolute loyalty to the Party and the leader, the love for the things of their own and confidence in their own strength and sure victory.
The respected Comrade General Secretary said that the great victory achieved in the Fatherland Liberation War is permeated with the heroic feats of the known and unknown martyrs who turned out in the war for defending the country in hearty response to the order of President
And he proposed newly building a cemetery of fallen fighters of the Korean People’s Army on the occasion of the ６０th anniversary of the war victory, personally chose its site and named it the "Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery".
Indeed, the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery is a sacred monument teaching the invaluable truth that the life of martyrs shines in the meridian of immortality thanks to the great Party which glorifies the life and feats of revolutionary soldiers at the highest level.
The staunch spirit of defending the country and indomitable revolutionary faith of the victorious wartime generation, who created the great heroic era, are precious ideological and spiritual wealth all the people and the service personnel should firmly carry forward and glorify forever and constitute the invincible force of our revolution.
In front of the cemetery, the young generations make firm resolution to firmly carry forward the immortal heroic spirit of the victorious wartime generation, the heroes who sacrificed their youth and lives for the greatest and the most sacred motherland to write a legendary chapter of history of resistance, admired by the whole world, with their warm blood and open up a bright future of the Korean revolution.
