In Order to Glorify Life of Wartime Generation Forever

Celebrations He Personally Initiated

On July 24, 2012, major newspapers including the party organ, the news agency and broadcasting services in the DPRK made report that the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un proposed celebrating the significant V-Day with splendor, saying that the younger generations should successfully carry forward the feats and fighting spirit of former generation, and took benevolent measures to invite delegates of war veterans to Pyongyang to take part in the celebrations.

The whole country seethed with excitement. However, until then, people didn’t realize how great the loving care of the respected Comrade General Secretary for war veterans was.

One day ahead of the V-Day, the respected Comrade General Secretary said to the officials that it was the 59th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War just after a few days and that to significantly celebrate the V-Day was of great significance in glorifying the immortal exploits President Kim Il Sung performed for war victory and arming the younger generations with the heroic fighting spirit displayed by our army and people to make them carry forward it generation after generation.

The officials were deeply touched as they kept in mind his noble intention to glorify the immortal exploits the President performed for war victory and make the younger generations carry forward forever the fighting spirit of wartime generation.

Saying that the V-Day, a significant holiday for victors, should be celebrated with splendor, he taught in detail to make proper organizations now that it was arranged for delegates of war veterans to significantly celebrate the V-Day in Pyongyang.

Great, indeed, was the benevolence of the respected Comrade General Secretary who values so much the war veterans who devoted their all to the country during the harshest period and puts them forward.

Under his initiative and great benevolence, the celebrations of the V-Day could be held with splendor.

Benevolent Benefactors, True Teachers

Our people still recollect with deep emotion the historic speech the respected Comrade General Secretary made at the Seventh National Conference of War Veterans held on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the great victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

In his speech, he said he couldn’t suppress surging delight and great emotions now that he was seeing them again, an elder generation of our revolution whom we always respect and regard as our role models, and celebrating the great Victory Day of our motherland with them and noted that the great history of victory which our state and people will remember proudly for generations is the most valuable asset which can be bartered for nothing.

He then continued that the defenders and builders of the country in the 1950s who honorably safeguarded the glorious DPRK and provided an undying heroic spirit to be conveyed through generations are benevolent benefactors and true teachers to be praised and modeled after forever.

Not only the war veterans and persons of wartime merits who received his speech but also all the other people across the country were wrapped in great excitement.

In the world, not a few countries have generations of war victors who defended their countries from the enemies’ aggression.

However, war veterans in no other countries enjoy lofty life and highest glory as benevolent benefactors, true teachers to be praised and modeled after forever, and precious treasures, wonderful revolutionary forerunners and genuine patriots of the country.

The precious life of wartime victors implants in the hearts of the rising generation that both the history of war victory and honor of the victorious wartime generation can shine forever only when they have a peerlessly great man who possesses noble moral obligation to the revolutionary forerunners.
