Immortal Exploits for War Victory Which Cannot Be Found in History of World
The Ryongpho Revolutionary Site is a significant place associated with President
The President inspected this rugged far-away place near the front in April １９５１ and accomplished great exploits which will long abide in the history of war victory.

Gazing at the picturesque mountain ranges for a while, he said that it was really a remote and secluded place among the mountains and he became wrapped in great emotions for thinking that even such a deep ravine was permeated with the painstaking efforts the President made for bringing about the victory in the war.
His instructions remind us of the benevolent image of the President who came here through the shower of bullets to inspire soldiers with confidence in victory.
In those days the enemies were scheming coastal landing operation along with an attack on the ground battle line to make up for their repeated defeat.
Seeing through the enemies’ attempt, the President took detailed measures to strengthen the coastal defence and set out on his way for field guidance at the Korean People’s Army unit here which was performing the duty of coastal defence in the Wonsan area.
Although it was April, the mountain ranges of Ryongpho-ri were yet covered with snow. Furthermore, the President’s car could not cross a brook as it was swollen with several days-long spring rain and melted snow.
Detaining the attendants from laying a driveway, the President drew off his boots and waded the brook in darkness.
It was April ２８ when the President met the service personnel of the unit.
Soldiers who had lined up in good order crowded round the President and there were even soldiers climbing a nearby pine tree to see the President at close range.
The commanding officers made desperate efforts to put the rank in order. Dissuading them from their efforts, the President waved back to the cheering soldiers.
That day the President set forth the Juche-oriented coastal defence tactics capable of totally frustrating the enemies’ landing attempt by encircling and annihilating them on and by the sea.
And he clearly taught orientation and ways for enhancing the fighting efficiency of the unit including the issues of turning coastal defence positions into tunnels and forming a strong firing net by deploying all forces and combat equipment along the coastline.

When the President was delivering the speech in front of service personnel of the unit, an enemy plane suddenly showed up, but the President continued his speech with perfect composure, he said, adding that this fact alone brought home the courage and pluck of the President. He continued that visitors would be greatly impressed with the greatness of the President after listening to the explanation about the records of revolutionary activities associated with the site of speech.
Preserved as they were at the historic site are plain utensils and quilt the President used when he was staying at a modest farmhouse.
Looking at the revolutionary relics, the respected Comrade General Secretary said that those relics showed what a simple life the President led and that there is no such a great brilliant commander, genuine people’s leader as the President who led the war to the victory leading a simple life.
We will celebrate the ７３rd anniversary of the significant war victory soon.
