Unforgettable Story Conveyed by Picture Taken 70-odd Years Ago

The touching scene ７０-odd years ago of the President talking with a bright smile on his face and the old woman full of infinite happiness and excitement vividly conveys the great love and affection of the President.
The old woman had been awarded the Order of National Flag First Class for sending her eight sons to the front for defending the home village and motherland, assisting the evacuation of the wounded by forming a stretcher party with the village women and donating to assisting the front a large amount of rice she had harvested with her daughters-in-law in the ３ ０００-phyong paddy field and in the newly-reclaimed ５００-phyong land called "the People’s Army plot" and hemp cloth weaved with sincerity.
Informed of such deeds of Yun, the President called her to the national conference of activists in farm work.
On January ５, １９５３, the President went out to the Moranbong Underground Theater to attend the conference and met Yun before the start of the conference.
The President, with a bright smile on his face, held her warmly by the hand and offered her a seat, saying she must have been exhausted.
Yun couldn’t repress surging emotion.
The President asked with attentive care how she was getting on at home after sending all her sons to the army and if she heard anything from them thenceforth.
He requested her to look after the sons and grandsons well and suggested having a photo taken with him after the conference.
Thus, an ordinary old woman from Orang County had the honor to take part in the historic conference, sitting next to the President.
Reading pure patriotism, strong faith and will of women in our country from her looks, the President bestowed special benevolence upon her.
He repeatedly requested her to take good care of her health, called her at her lodgings to ask if she was tired or sick and even sent an able doctor for her.
On the last day of the conference, he presented meaningful gifts to her.
After the meeting, he let her stay in Pyongyang for several more days and called her seventh son, who was serving as an officer of the then Infantry Division No. ４６ of the Korean People’s Army, to Pyongyang to arrange an impressive reunion.
It was a loving story never known in the history of world war.
Yun closely embraced her son and said in tears of gratitude there is no one so attentive as our President in the world.
Later, Yun endeavored to increase wartime grain production and assisted the front more briskly to repay the benevolence of the Party after returning to her home village.
In high appreciation of such deeds of the old woman, the President let her have the precious honor of a member of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Indeed, the ardent love of the President for our people was the source of the inexhaustible strength which enabled the people to achieve the greatest victory in the harshest trials in confrontation with the imperialist aggressors with the US imperialists boasting of the myth of "mightiness" in the van.
