Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Visits Cemetery of CPV Fallen Soldiers on Occasion of 73rd Anniversary of Victory in Fatherland Liberation War

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, visited the Cemetery of the Fallen Soldiers of the Chinese People’s Volunteers in Hoechang County of South Phyongan Province on July ２６ on the occasion of the ７３rd anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and paid high tribute to the fallen soldiers.

He was accompanied by Jo Yong Won, Kim Song Nam and Ju Chang Il, secretaries of the C.C., WPK, Choe Son Hui, foreign minister of the DPRK, No Kwang Chol, minister of National Defence, and Pak Jong Chon, adviser to the Ministry of National Defence.

The guard of honor of the Korean People’s Army lined up at the cemetery.

The national anthems of the People’s Republic of China and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea were played.

A wreath in the name of Comrade Kim Jong Un was laid at the cemetery.

Comrade Kim Jong Un paid a silent tribute to the memory of the fallen soldiers of the Chinese People’s Volunteers.

Then he visited the grave of Mao Anying at the cemetery. He placed a flower at the grave and paid homage.

The ennobling soul and self-sacrificing spirit of the brave CPV soldiers, who shed their blood to assist the DPRK people in the war of justice in the most difficult and fateful years, are clearly associated with the victory won by the DPRK people and they are shining as the foundation for the DPRK-China friendship with socialism as its core.

The DPRK people will never forget the merits and heroic feats of the excellent sons and daughters of the Chinese people who unsparingly dedicated their hot blood and precious lives, fighting shoulder to shoulder with our army and people in the same trench of the unprecedented death-defying struggle for repelling the imperialists’ invasion.
