Emotional Voices of People from Pyongyang General Hospital

２６０-odd days have passed since the Pyongyang General Hospital was splendidly built in an excellent location of the capital city as an entity symbolic of the first year of the healthcare revolution thanks to the far-reaching plan and wise leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un and started the operation.

In these days, lots of people received advanced medical services in the hospital and regained their health.

Their emotional voices touch heartstrings of people.

Kim Sung Ho, a special class disabled soldier living in Toksong County, South Hamgyong Province, who had been suffering from the unexpected injury he got on a military mission for ２０-odd years, was restored to health at the Pyongyang General Hospital like a dream.

Receiving treatment in the hospital equipped with all the necessary conditions for treatment, Kim wondered what would have become of his destiny but for our benevolent system.

That’s why he wrote, in his letter to the Party organization of the hospital, that he had a pleasant time during ８０-odd years of his hospitalization and he extended deep thanks to the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un who saw to it that even an ordinary man like him was treated at such a wonderful hospital.

This was, indeed, a legendary tale of human love born under the benevolence of our Party which presented a modern hospital to the people.

What is deeply cherished in the hearts of the medical workers of the hospital is the respected Comrade General Secretary’s earnest instruction that the hospital facilities and treatment equipment should be good, but the important thing is the forces for medical service, and that as there is a saying that the treatment hinges on medicine and mind, the main thing in the treatment is the high level of medical practices and sincerity of a doctor in charge of a patient.

Ardent, indeed, was the sincerity they devoted to patients as they live and work, bearing deep in mind the respected Comrade General Secretary’s earnest request for them to become genuine medical workers devoting the medical knowledge and skills, which they learned under the state’s care, solely for the good of the people, a medical team trusted and appreciated by the people.

Thanks to such fervent love and sincerity of the medical workers, Kim Hyon Hui, a woman living in Kanggye City, was provided a new life. Therefore she said, full of emotion, that she recovered her health and spirit at the hospital and became well-cognizant of the gratitude of our Party and system.

A farmer of Unnyul County in South Hwanghae Province, who became able to walk freely after having a bone graft, said that he couldn’t find more suitable words than thanks to express his emotion and joy. Leaving the hospital, he made a firm determination to repay for sure the benevolence of the country by raising good crops.

The Pyongyang General Hospital presents itself as a facility that injects vigour of life and inexhaustible vitality into our people and as a palace that defends their health and laughter, and our people’s thanks and repayment produce hymns of era; this reality is the touching scene which can only be unfolded in our-style socialist system based on the people-first principle.

Therefore, our people extend heartfelt thanks to the respected Comrade General Secretary who made sure that the Pyongyang General Hospital was wonderfully built as a monumental entity symbolic of the first year of the healthcare revolution led by our Party and the first substantial starting point of the public health rejuvenation.
