For Developing and Strengthening our Party
Shortcut to Strengthening Whole Party
Held in December ２０１６ was the First Conference of Chairpersons of the Primary Committees of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the first of its kind in the history of our Party.
At the conference, the respected Comrade General Secretary
In the conclusion, he noted that the primary Party committees are given special importance though Party organizations at different levels all play an important part in implementing the Party’s lines and policies as the Party’s lines and policies are executed with the primary Party committees as the main militant unit and the destiny of the Party policies are decided by the role of the primary Party committees.
The fighting efficiency of primary Party committees is equivalent to that of our Party and the shortcut to strengthening our Party lies in strengthening the primary Party committees, he stressed.
His plain instruction gripped the hearts of the participants in a moment.
Presently, he set forth the basic assignment of primary Party committees at present and detailed tasks facing them and emphasized that whether the work of primary Party committees are conducted well in conformity with the Party’s ideas and intentions or not totally hinges on the responsibility and role of their chairpersons.
That day, he said with great trust that the Party Central Committee wishes the chairpersons of primary Party committees of the whole Party to make their way through the untrodden path in the first line of the campaign for implementing the Party’s ideas and defending the Party’s policies as befits the political commissars of the main militant units on the outpost of the development and intensification of the Party and the construction of a powerful socialist country.
Indeed, the historic conclusion of the respected Comrade General Secretary constituted a precious guideline brightly illuminating the shortcut to strengthening the whole Party by the strengthening of primary Party committees.
Request Made at College
In January ２０１８, the respected Comrade General Secretary inspected Pyongyang Teachers Training College.
Looking round the college, he asked one of its officials how many Party cells it had and who took part in the Fifth Conference of Cell Secretaries of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Listening to the official’s reply, he went down the stairs of the school building with a thoughtful gait and taught that the primary Party Committee of the college should arouse the faculty and students to the implementation of the Party’s policy on attaching importance to education.
Then he stressed that the functions and role of the Party cells had to be further enhanced and, in particular, all the chairpersons of Party cells should stand in the van of the work to arouse the faculty and students of the college to the campaign for implementing the Party’s ideas and defending the Party’s policies.
The respected Comrade General Secretary, giving so much importance to the position and role of Party cells in strengthening and developing the Party, organized the conference of Party cell chairpersons, the fifth of its kind in the history of our Party to infuse fresh strength and courage into them so that they can vigorously fight for the Party’s development and the victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche, well aware of the sense of mission they assume before the Party and revolution.
Then, he led the Party cell secretaries step by step to work as befitting the political officials of the revolutionary and fighting Party during field guidance.
That day’s instruction served as another important occasion which enabled Party cell secretaries throughout the Party to take great steps for the thorough implementation of the Party’s policies, mindful that the role of Party cells means the leadership and fighting efficiency of our Party.
