By Bringing About Fundamental Turn in Three-Revolution Red Flag Movement

The flames of the three revolutions are flaring up high throughout the country under the guidance of our Party for further augmenting and intensifying the Three-Revolution Red Flag Movement.

On the high platform of the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un taught that the great cause of comprehensive development, too, can be carried out much faster and more effectively only when the Party’s guidance and the state’s leading role are strengthened in conducting the three revolutions, and only when the masses of the people are involved in these revolutions with an attitude befitting masters.

He also emphasized in his important policy speech "On the Tasks Facing the Government of the Republic at the Present Stage of Socialist Construction" made at the First Session of the １５th Supreme People’s Assembly that all undertakings and activities of the government of the Republic should naturally be geared to implementing the line of the three revolutions to the letter and carrying them out more actively as required by the times and the developing revolution.

In retrospect, the sacred history of our country adorned with victory and glory has been linked to the call of the three revolutions.

Our people keep deep in their hearts the grand intention of the respected Comrade General Secretary to accomplish the socialist cause, the communist cause to the end, holding fast to the Three-Revolution line, which was set forth by President Kim Il Sung and adhered to by Chairman Kim Jong Il throughout his revolutionary leadership, as the permanent strategic line, and his far-reaching plan to bring earlier the bright future through the fortifying of the internal force of comprehensive development by training our people into ardent revolutionaries, genuine patriots and sound and civilized human beings.

Indeed, it is the fighting strategy which can be put forward only by the great Workers’ Party of Korea, whose political ideal is the people-first politics, to accomplish the sacred cause of socialism, upholding the banners of the three revolutions.

The respected Comrade General Secretary has held fast to the three revolutions as the general line of our Party for socialist construction from the first days of revolutionary leadership and seen that the banners of the three revolutions are held up higher.

He convened the Fourth Conference of Frontrunners in the Three-Revolution Red Flag Movement in November ２０１５, and sent a historic letter "Let Us Bring About a Fundamental Turn in the Three-Revolution Red Flag Movement in Line with the Demands of the Developing Revolution" to brightly illuminate the road ahead of this movement.

A marked progress has been made in the three revolutions, ideological, technological and cultural, amid the fierce flames of the three revolutions kindled by the wise leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary and along with the increasing ranks of twice and thrice Three-Revolution Red Flag units.

The respected Comrade General Secretary saw that the Fifth Conference of Frontrunners in the Three-Revolution Red Flag Movement was convened in November ２０２１, the first year of the eighth term of the Party Central Committee, and opened up a new phase of development of the Three-Revolution Red Flag Movement by sending a historic letter "Let Us Achieve a Comprehensive Development of Socialism by Kindling the Fierce Flames of the Three Revolutions".

In the historic letter, he put forth an outstanding idea of holding high the fighting slogan on transforming all our revolutionary positions in line with the demands of the three revolutions and underlined the need to expand the Three-Revolution Red Flag Movement onto a wider scope involving cities, counties and industrial complexes, not confining it merely to organs, enterprises, factories, cooperative farms, workshops and workteams as is now, and thereby to make it an all-society and all-people movement both in name and in reality.

During the eighth term of the Party Central Committee, the respected Comrade General Secretary wisely led to effect a fresh change in all the domains of ideology, technology and culture with the three revolutions as the driving force, enlist the ideological and mental power of the people to put an end to the imbalanced and untypical development where advancement and backwardness coexist, and, in the long run, build a thriving socialist country prospering by dint of self-sufficiency and self-dependence.

In those days, the respected Comrade General Secretary made sure that every creation was built on the principle of putting the people’s ideological consciousness and cultural level on a height corresponding to the new era and steadily improving the goal and aspect of creation and that the sector of science and technology held high the banner of making leaps forward and powerfully propelled the socialist construction.

Under his wise guidance, a great stride has been made in the work for transforming all the regions of the country in an even and peculiar manner by developing all the sectors and units of national economy on a balanced basis and powerfully pushing ahead with regional construction and rural construction for the past five years, along with the campaign for developing all the fields of state and social life by directing great efforts to the development of economy and culture while attaching importance to building politics and national defence.

In full swing at present together with the material changes and creation of material wealth is the work for transforming the people’s ideological consciousness and training them into highly creative and powerful beings.

As we are led by a prominent leader and the banners of the three revolutions are held up high, victory is always in store for us and the brilliant future when all the people’s dreams and ideals are to come true will surely be brought into reality.
