Clear Manifestation of Validity and Vitality of Our Party’s Policy of Attaching Importance to Talents

The validity and vitality of the Party’s policy on attaching importance to talents are being brought into full scope.

According to the amassed data, with the well-regulated and daily-intensifying system of the state for managing sci-tech talents, the number of talents who will greatly contribute to the development of the country’s economy and the improvement of the people’s livelihood and shoulder the development of the sectors, units and regions including the top scientists, technicians and inventors is on the increase.

Our Party, setting it as an important issue related to the future of the revolution to educate and train sci-tech talent force, ensured that the law on sci-tech talents management was enacted and a relevant system was established in an effort to effect a fresh turn in training and managing talents.

Now that a strict system and discipline were established in the management of sci-tech talents management and the unified control and management of the talents were provided by the state, the role of talents in developing science and technology and improving the people’s living standards has much enhanced.

True to the noble intention of the Party, more brisk efforts were made to discover and register all the talents and efficiently enlist them, thereby opening up a new heyday of strengthening the talent force.

Nineteen top scientists and technicians of the state were produced.

Scientists of several universities and scientific research units including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, the State Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Agricultural Sciences blazed the path of research to turn out great scientific research successes, which crowned them with the honor of top scientists and technicians of the state.

An effort was promoted at ministries and national agencies and in provinces to nominate the persons who rendered help to the development of their respective sectors and units for top scientists and technicians of the sectors and regions, thus infusing vitality to the work for making all people well-versed in science and technology.

Meanwhile, the ranks of ace inventors have been reinforced.

Since four working people who made prominent discoveries conducive to the country’s development became the first top inventors of the country, this work has been pressed on with on a regular basis and in a responsible manner, resulting in the number of laureates mounting to dozens within five years.

Officials account for a large proportion of the top inventors who helped toward the promotion of the development of sectors and units and the augmentation of the country’s intellectual wealth with their worthful inventions and devisal.

Among them are even twice top inventors.

The work for awarding the top inventor prize encourages all the working people to make endeavors to acquire knowledge and technologies and become masters of science and technology and talents who uphold the prosperity and development of the country with valuable inventions.

More and more people become state-level sci-tech talents capable of proposing sci-tech plans, which are of a pivotal significance in developing the country’s economy and science and technology, and playing a leading role in their implementation.

Talents possessed of outstanding sci-tech qualities and creative abilities are the pride of our state and the rapid growth of their ranks is a clear manifestation of the validity and vitality of our Party’s policy on prioritizing talents and science and technology.

Thanks to such policy, the ranks of sci-tech talents, the foremost strategic assets and the motive force for development, will be ever more expanded and strengthened and our country will be full of talents in the near future.
