Looking Round Factory in Delight
In August ２０１４, the respected General Secretary
He made rounds of the factory to learn in detail about the technical features of the production lines and the state of production.
The factory, whose production lines were automated, IT-based and unmanned and whose integrated production system was perfectly run by computers, made achievements after setting up an objective to increase the proportion of home production beginning from producing additives and developed the lubricant, at the ground level of industrialization worldwide, on their own.
Having learnt about this, the respected General Secretary expressed delight at the fact that it was making the product which had been imported earlier by their own efforts and with their own technology and underlined the need to wage a more vigorous campaign for turning out high-quality lubricants and grease in a larger amount needed for various vehicles and sending them to different sectors of the national economy.
Looking at the products of the factory for a while, he said in delight that the factory was producing vaccines against proclivity to import.
His meaningful words vividly reflected his great satisfaction with the achievements gained in the spirit of self-reliance.
The respected General Secretary, whichever unit he inspects, leads them attentively to proudly turn out creations made by their own efforts and with their own technology and hands.
Indeed, it is thanks to his energetic guidance for letting all the sectors and units hold higher the banner of self-reliance that the proud creations made with our own hands steadily increase in number.
That day, the officials keenly felt once again that they should give fuller scope to the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance in order to firmly safeguard and solidly cement the self-supporting economy, the eternal wealth for building a thriving country.
Calling It Birthplace of Self-reliance and Self-development
In January ２０１８, the respected General Secretary visited the State Academy of Sciences.
As it presented itself as an urgent issue as ever before to further enhance the might of science and technology in the great campaign of self-reliance, he visited the State Academy of Sciences for his first field guidance of the year.
That day, he looked round the scientific exhibition hall with a smile on his face.
On display there were hundreds of pieces of important scientific research findings its scientists had achieved since the first on-spot guidance at the academy by the respected General Secretary in ２０１４ and also a hundred and tens of other research successes made in different sectors in ２０１７.
The respected General Secretary looked round the exhibition hall, divided into two parts, full of confidence and conviction.
With a satisfied look, he said to the officials that the science exhibition hall of the State Academy of Sciences is a treasure house of self-reliance and self-development and the academy is its birthplace.
He paused for a while, as if he was picturing the trustworthy looks of the scientists who achieved marvellous research successes despite the lack of everything and difficult conditions and environment, and earnestly continued as follows:
In the future, too, the State Academy of Sciences should remain the birthplace of self-reliance and self-development.
It should play a big role in opening up our future by building our own strength and carrying out the revolution and construction on our own. …
Listening to his meaningful words, the officials were wrapped in solemn emotions.
It is none other than the Juche-oriented science and technology which gives birth to the capacity for self-development.
In this sense, he meant by calling the academy the birthplace of self-reliance and self-development that it can be likened to the cradle where the bud of self-reliance and self-development sprouts, a reservoir where the fountain of creation tirelessly springs from and a mother who guides the first leap forward.
The scientists of the State Academy of Scientists, cherishing the great trust and expectation of the respected General Secretary who placed them in charge of the birthplace of self-reliance and self-development, are still engaged in the campaign for scientific research and make greater achievements with ardent passion and wisdom.
