The Academy of Agricultural Science has established a speed breeding technology of rice, an advanced breeding technology.

The scientists established the rice speed breeding system by promptly solving technical problems arising in devising several equipment and establishing the control system with which to ensure light, temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide with our wisdom and materials.

The establishment of the new technology provides a possibility for raising the research efficiency while greatly shortening the breeding and improving cycle of new varieties of rice and saving much manpower and materials.

At present, the scientists make studies into rearing new varieties of rice which are greatly resistant to diseases, grows in a short period, and are of high quality and productivity.
