In Days of Establishing Climate of Attaching Importance to Science and Technology

Meaning of His Plain Explanation

One day in February, ten-odd years ago, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected the Sci-Tech Complex under construction.

Noting that the Sci-Tech Complex is a house of learning for making all the people well-versed in science and technology and an epitome of construction in our country, he emphasized that he attached much importance to the construction of the complex.

He stressed the need to build the complex to be representative of the Juche-oriented architectural art in the 21st century.

He taught that the complex should be a house of learning where not only scientists and technicians but also all the other people can learn to their heart’s content and a hub of dissemination of advanced science and technology.

In a word, it should be a place where the sci-tech data incessantly flows, not like a place where water stands still, he added.

Not like a place where water stands still!

His instruction gave a vivid picture of the mission of the complex.

The officials kept in their minds the great intention of the respected General Secretary to achieve a rapid development of science and technology and, on that basis, further speed up our revolution.

Issue Solved on Spot

One day in September 2017, the respected General Secretary inspected Kwail County.

That day, he left traces of guidance at the pomiculture institute which takes up a big part in carrying out the Party’s policy on scientific fruit farming.

The institute was organized by the officials and employees in the county who were zealous to conduct fruit farming thoroughly by scientific methods as intended by the respected General Secretary.

He listened with great delight to the report of the officials that the institute played an important role in bringing about a rich fruit harvest.

Then, he instructed that a rank of able researchers should be formed in order for the institute to make research achievements conducive to fruit production and took benevolent measures for it.

The officials were too excited to know what to do.

As a matter of fact, they frequently suffered from the shortage of competent pomological technicians though they had remodeled the institute.

Then, the respected General Secretary saw through the problem and took immediate solutions.

Indeed, herein lay the profound intention of the respected General Secretary to bring about rich fruit harvests throughout the country every year under the uplifted banner of scientific fruit farming.

Looking up to him, the officials made up their minds to prove more successful in fruit production by raising the scientific, modern and intensive level of fruit production higher.
