Presently, he instructed that the Sinuiju Textile Mill should compete with the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill like the Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory does with the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory.
That moment, the officials were greatly excited as they realized the noble intention of the respected General Secretary who sees that even those units lagging behind regain the productive enthusiasm and vigor so as to stand in the vanguard of the times.
Indeed, emulation with a model unit marked an important occasion in redoubling the confidence and courage of the working class and officials of the factory.
Amid the flames of the socialist emulation kindled by the respected General Secretary, a new innovation was effected in the fighting spirit and manner of work of the officials and employees of the factory.
Issue Underlined at a Tree Nursery
In July ２０１８, the respected General Secretary inspected the Kangwon Provincial Tree Nursery despite the steaming heat.
That day, he gave precious instructions while having a bird’s-eye view of the tree nursery and dropped in at the room dedicated to the history of the tree nursery.
Looking round the room, he taught that we should train a large number of scientists and technicians who are good at handling the modern tree sapling production equipment, can produce tree saplings safely in reliance on modern science and technology and help toward the forest restoration with scientific research work.
To this end, an emulation among provinces would be effective like in all other undertakings.
Getting out of the room, he said with a smile to the manager that the Kangwon Provincial Tree Nursery must win in the emulation with the Tree Nursery No.１２２.
The respected General Secretary inspires a fierce emulation drive in all the undertakings for building a thriving socialist country to bolster up all the sectors and units at the same time and further invigorate the trend of the times in which all the units make leaps forward and increase production.
Keeping his instruction word by word, the officials of the provincial tree nursery hardened their resolve to rush forward in the van of the whole country by further raising the zeal for socialist emulation drive among employees.

In late August last year, the inauguration ceremony of the Ragwon County Offshore Farm, built as another monumental edifice on the east coast, was held in the presence of the respected General Secretary.
Looking round the farm in delight, the respected General Secretary earnestly taught that, in order to let offshore farms provided by the Party’s effort actually contribute to promoting the characteristic development of regional industry and improving the level of material life of the regional people, the officials of the county Party committee and the farm should give scientific guidance and direct responsible efforts in the spirit of devoted service for the people and the offshore farms in Sinpho City and Ragwon County should help and learn from each other to work steady innovations.

In the previous year, when he was giving field guidance at the preparations for the construction of the Sinpho City Offshore Farm, he earnestly taught that, the regional industry can make progress only when all the provinces and regions establish the foundations for an independent and sustained development to encourage a trend of balanced and competitive development in all the regions, which, in turn, provides a great power for the overall economy and contributes to the strategic growth of economic power.
His instruction reflected his noble intention to raise a fierce wind of emulation to promote the independent and multifaceted development of regions and thus achieve a substantial progress in improving the people’s living standards.
