While looking round the goods on display, the respected General Secretary said to officials of the factory that the factory should organize the work with ambitious pluck to overtake the developed countries in the field of sanitary ware and encouraged them noting that there is nothing impossible to do when they work hard with the same spirit and stamina of exploring the sector of Narae-trademarked sanitary ware.
He continued that if the spiritual strength was enlisted to the maximum, the goods made in that spirit would also excel the world standard with latest technology.
An official pledged that he would achieve a greater success in the production of sanitary ware.
Expressing great satisfaction, he asked if the factory could arrange a new production line on its own and normalize the production.
After listening to the official’s answer in the affirmative, the respected General Secretary instructed to report problems arising in it soon, saying that he would take full charge of them.

True Meaning of Modernization
In November ２０１４, the respected General Secretary visited a foodstuff factory.
To the officials who warmly greeted him in excitement, he satisfactorily told that the panoramic view of the remodeled factory was splendid.
That day, he also dropped in at the factory’s general control room and gladly recognized the integrated production system.
After listening to an official’s explanation about it with care, the respected General Secretary taught that foodstuff factories should, in the future, modernize their production lines on such a high level as the factory did.
He instructed that modernization realized by simply importing and arranging foreign equipment cannot be regarded as modernization in the true sense of the word.
Then he stressed that modernization required by our Party is the one relying on our own efforts and technology, not on others’.
His instruction implies that the key to developing the country’s economy and hastening the country’s prosperity lies in thoroughly relying on our own strength and technology.
Keeping the true meaning of modernization, the officials hardened their resolve to uphold the noble intention of the respected General Secretary to make ours a powerful socialist country thriving by dint of self-reliance with remarkable practical achievements.
