Power Plant on the Shore of Juhung Stream
There’s a small-sized power plant on the shore of the Juhung Stream built and run by the Juhung Farm under the South Hamgyong Provincial Rural Economy Committee. There are also power plants built by the farm in different places where mountain streams flow.
The farm produces electricity needed for residents, water pumping and threshing without using the electricity sent by the country.
The residents boast of many benefits brought about by the construction of power plants utilizing the natural and geographical conditions of the region.
The food processing room produces processed foods to their liking conducive to the farmers’ dietary life and the milk processing room regularly supplies dairy goods to the children of the farmers by running the milk processing equipment with the electricity produced by its own efforts.
The power plants greatly help the construction of new rural dwellings, repairing and manufacture of farm machines, education at the school and medical activities at the ri clinic.
The mountainous farm village presents a picturesque view decorated with illumination in the evenings. Every house which is brightly lit is full of people’s laughter and singing.
This was thanks to the persevering efforts of the officials and farmers of the farm to create their own generating capacity.
Their efforts paid off.
They make contributions to the country by saving its electricity and the agricultural workers live optimistically, enjoying a varied cultural life even in the mountain village.
Praiseworthy indeed are the people here who uphold the country by taking care of the fields faithfully and help the country by controlling mountain streams.
The small power plant on the shore of the Juhung Stream is a big wealth verifying the validity and vitality of Party policies.
