Sci-tech Presentations and Symposiums Held in DPRK

National sci-tech presentations, symposiums and exhibitions in the fields of chemical industry, construction and welding were held from September １ to ４.

A national sci-tech presentation in the chemical industry was sponsored by the Korean Chemical Industry Association of the C.C., General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea. It was held, divided into C-１ chemical industry, basic chemical industry, fertilizer and fiber and paper industry panels.

Appreciated there were proposals submitted by Pyongyang University of Education No. １, Hamhung University of Chemical Engineering, the Hamhung Branch of the State Academy of Sciences and the Sunchon Chemical Complex.

A symposium discussed the proposals for the home production of catalyst necessary for the establishment of C-１ chemical industry.

A national sci-tech presentation in the construction sector was sponsored by the Central Committee of the Architects Union of Korea.

Presented to it were more than １９０ papers of scientists and technicians in the field of construction engineering and building materials. Its theme was "Guarantee of Structural Quality and Home Production of Building Materials".

During the presentation, there were a presentation on experience in creation and a video show on the trend of construction.

Achievements and experience were shared and exchanged at a national sci-tech presentation and exhibition in the field of welding held under the sponsorship of the Welding Society of Korea of the C.C., General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

Appreciated there were the proposals made by the Wonsan Rolling-Stock Factory and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex and the low-carbon steel welding rods presented by the Taean Welding Rod Factory, the Sariwon Kumgang Metal Factory and the Pothonggang Management Office in Pothonggang District.
