The following happened when the respected General Secretary
Looking round the college, the respected General Secretary stressed that it assumed more important mission than any of its counterparts and the success or failure in education of children at kindergartens and primary schools depends on how they teach the students at the college.
It is imperative to train teachers in charge of education at primary schools and middle schools well as a man lays the basis of his outlook on the world and intellectual faculties in the primary school days and acquires the essentials of the world outlook and general basic knowledge about nature and society at middle school, he added.
A moment later, he highlighted that our Party attaches great importance to the college and expressed his hope that the kindergarten teachers and other teachers trained there would be stout roots and foundation for educating the rising generation.
He emphasized that as strong roots make a tree bear full fruits, the teachers should become strong roots which give birth to the full fruits.
His earnest request reminded the officials of the heavy mission teachers have assumed in cultivating the future of the country beautifully.
Be strong roots and foundation!
This was not the trust bestowed only on the teachers of the Pyongyang Teachers Training College.
Indeed, his instructions were an earnest request for all the educators throughout the country to discharge their responsibilities and duties in cultivating the future of the country.
Work of Lasting Significance
Several years ago, the respected General Secretary inspected a factory.
Referring to the many problems to be solved in scientific and technological terms in operating the factory, he noted that priority should be given to training talented personnel if our country is to make progress.
Then he continued that talents are the foremost resources and driving power of development for us and that to train talented personnel is the policy issue most prioritized by our Party and an undertaking of everlasting significance.
His words set officials deep in thought.
His noble intention of regarding the training of talents as an undertaking of lasting significance, attaching so much importance to it, touched their heart.
The respected General Secretary has put his heart and soul into training talents, saying that our country can prosper when we make revolution with proper viewpoint of science and talents.
Looking at the officials, the respected General Secretary stressed the need to train talents in a systematic manner to be the backbone of the country and emphasized that the education sector should set up a correct goal for training lots of scientific and technological talents and intensify education.
Education for training talented personnel is an important undertaking which directly affects the rise and fall of a country.
A country cannot expect its development and prosperity if it fails to channel due efforts into the training of talents.
Keeping the instruction of the respected General Secretary in their minds, the officials made up their minds to train more of the talents who will shoulder the future of the country by putting great efforts into education.
