In October eleven years ago, the respected General Secretary
The respected General Secretary noted that Mirae Scientists Street reflected in an intuitive way our Party’s idea of believing in the people as in Heaven and of attaching importance to science and talents, feasting his eyes on the dazzling street whose high-rise and super high-rise apartment buildings of peculiar styles were arranged in a single direction and with compatibility on both sides of the avenue on the bank of the River Taedong.
He continued that, unlike in other countries where only villas for millionaires or hotels were situated in places with good scenery and clear air, our Party made sure that dwelling houses for scientists and educators were built in such excellent locations.
The officials recollected the days of construction of the street with deep emotions.
He initiated a grand plan to build a modern street for scientists on the bank of the River Taedong during his field guidance at the construction site of apartment houses for educators of Kim Chaek University of Technology and named the new street "Mirae Scientists Street".
It was really touching to recall the energetic and attentive guidance of the respected General Secretary who took responsibility for the construction of the street and gave instructions as to the formation plan of the street, its designing, building work and details of the buildings though he was fully burdened with all the revolutionary affairs.
His guidance gave birth to the peculiar street of our style visually showing our Party’s idea of attaching importance to science and technology and attaining the perfect harmony of Juche character, national identity, originality and formative and artistic beauty.
After a pause, the respected General Secretary taught that it was by no means because we abounded in steel, cement and funds that we could build the street wonderfully in a short period of just one year but because our Party was immovable in its idea and ideal for holding fast to the prioritization of science and talents as the strategic line.
In other words, the street was built by the idea of attaching importance to science and talents, he added.
Indeed, it was a teaching incorporating a lofty meaning and precious truth never to be heard anywhere else in the world nor to be found in history.
As it was built by such a noble idea and will, the street was imbued with the determination of the peerlessly great man to bring earlier our beautiful future by giving definite prominence to sci-tech talents and attaching importance to science and talents.
Indeed, Mirae Scientists Street is a precious crystallization of the respected General Secretary’s idea of attaching importance to science and talents and the great pains he takes and efforts he makes for the sake of the scientists and technicians.
The bright future of the powerful socialist country is being brought earlier by the strength of science and technology which grows day by day under his outstanding leadership.
Along with the endlessly bright future, Mirae Scientists Street will shed eternal brilliance as the monument to our Party’s idea of attaching importance to science and talents.
