He got off the bus after the trial operation and expressed great satisfaction at the new trolley bus.
Then he added that he was most pleased whenever he saw such creations made by dint of self-reliance.
Looking up to him, the officials keenly felt that the genuine path to happiness is to achieve everything by ourselves holding fast to the spirit of self-reliance as the invincible weapon.
Success with Many Benefits
One day ten years ago, the respected General Secretary inspected the remodeled Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory.
Feasting his eyes on the candy line, he praised that the equipment was wonderful and the factory had undergone a true technical revolution.
Then, an official of the factory informed him that all the equipment there was made in our country.
The respected General Secretary was pleased to hear that and repeatedly appreciated that the factory was full of prides, noting that factories and enterprises can achieve many goals like reforming the people’s ideas, renovating technology and improving the production and living environment when they press on with the campaign to produce and modernize equipment domestically.
It was a meaningful teaching indicating that home production is not a simple matter related to the updating of production equipment but a very important undertaking whose process directly leads to ideological reform, technological renovation and environment improvement.
That day, the respected General Secretary took benevolent measures to arrange lots of visits to the factory as it became another pride of our country.
Looking up to him, the officials realized that the shortcut to development and true path for making leaps forward lie in holding high the banner of Juche orientation and modernization.
