Exulting Catfish Ingathering at Farms in Mangyongdae District

Farms in Mangyongdae District also ingathered catfishes recently.

The amount of catfishes was much more than the foresighted yield. So, an official of the Mangyongdae Vegetable Farm was busy to reaffirm the amount of catfishes for supplying nursery and kindergarten and families of farmers.

The official said that the farm succeeded not only in catfish farming but also in paddy-field rice farming. He said they predicted that they would ingather eight tons of rice per hectare and he was surprised at the successes without use of fertilizer.

He expressed his determination to grow not only catfish but also different fishes such as tilapia next year with experience gained this year.

The Chilgol Vegetable Farm was also overflowed with delight of catfish ingathering.

A woman said that her family was supplied with catfishes and nowadays housewives are talking about cooking methods with catfish. She added that catfish is tasty and nutritious.

The kindergarten and nursery of the farm serve the children with different dishes of catfish these days.
