After national liberation, the work for founding a party was conducted in such a difficult and complicated situation.
The factionalists, who ruined the Korean communist movement in the １９２０s, got engrossed in another factional dispute and hindered party founding work, far from drawing a lesson from their past.
Meanwhile, the US and its stooges made vicious moves to baffle the unity of the communist movement and the founding of a communist party, inciting the factionalists.
The President analyzed in depth the complicated situation of the country and put primary efforts into founding the Party, the general staff of the revolution and the vanguard unit.
On August ２０, １９４５, the President set forth a policy to found a unified party with the communists trained and brought up in the protracted anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle as the core and involving other communists who were active in different regions at home and abroad.
The party founding policy set forth by the President was the one and only right path for founding a revolutionary party of Juche type both in name and in reality and a unified party comprising a broad section of communists while preventing the division of the communist ranks.
The President taught to found a party by establishing its organizations in regions first and then organizing its central leadership body.
Then he dispatched the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters to different regions.
The anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters who went out to several regions explained in a plain manner the party founding line proposed by the President to the people at a loss and organized party cells at factories, mines and coal mines to augment the party ranks.
A solid organizational and ideological foundation for party founding was laid thanks to the original party founding line and seasoned leadership of the President and the historic inaugural congress of the Party was held in Pyongyang on October １０, １９４５.
The President indicated the Party’s organizational line and political line defining the fighting tasks and solemnly declared the founding of our Party at the congress.
The founding of our Party was the fruit of the energetic struggle of the President and the birth of a revolutionary party of Juche type which has the Juche Idea as its guiding ideology and which inherited the revolutionary tradition of anti-Japanese struggle.
Today, our Party wages a more vigorous struggle to hasten the victory of socialist and communist construction by inheriting the ideal and spirit of Party founding.
