DIU Which Gave Birth to Single-hearted Unity
Now our revolution is evervictorious with the might of single-hearted unity, an integral whole of the leader, Party and masses.
This proud reality is unthinkable apart from the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU) which gave birth to the single-hearted unity by the leader’s love and trust and soldiers’ faith and obligation.
The DIU formed by fresh and passionate young people who were not infected with old ideas at that time was the fresh political organism which set forth unity as its lifeblood and originated the cohesion and unity centered on the leader and the vanguard organization which provided the solidest and strongest unity based on one idea and one center.

So it is with a strong feeling of affection that I remember Kim Hyok, Cha Kwang Su and Choe Chang Gol, not because they composed a song about me and upheld me as their leader, but because they were forerunners who ushered in an era of true unity, the pride and glory of our people and the genuine source of their unfathomable strength, the unity which our nation had been unable to achieve in spite of their burning desire for it, and also because these forerunners, at the cost of their blood, created a new history of unity and cohesion in which the leader and the masses were fused into a harmonious whole in the communist movement of our country.
He impressively wrote that it was their first historic achievement and the noble and beautiful spirit of the communists of that generation who upheld their leader and united behind him has become a great tradition of unity which is now called single-hearted unity by our Party.
The absolute confidence in invincibility of the leader’s idea and cause and the firm will to dedicate youth and life to devotedly defending the leader were ideological and moral qualities peculiar to DIU passionate fighters and the foundation of single-hearted unity.
The DPRK could be a country independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence in a short span of time by the single-hearted unity in which the leader believes in the people and the people absolutely trust in and follow the leader and the leader, the Party and masses achieved a harmonious whole.
Our Party and people are ushering in a new era of comprehensive national rejuvenation with the might of single-hearted unity while firmly defending our style socialist system from the persistent challenges by the imperialist allied forces.
Our people and army will surely win the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche under the guidance of the Workers’ Party of Korea, closely united around the respected Comrade
