National Garment and Footwear Exhibition Opens
The National Garment and Footwear Exhibition-２０２６ opened with due ceremony at the Three-Revolution Exhibition House in Pyongyang on October ２１.

Present at the opening ceremony were officials concerned and officials and working people of the exhibitor units.
Ri Yong Gun, minister of Light Industry, made an opening address.
The speaker noted that while going round the venue of the exhibition ahead of its opening, the respected General Secretary appreciated that the exhibition has made progress in scale, content and form, and clearly indicated the orientation and tasks for further accelerating the development of light industry so as to meet the daily-increasing cultural and emotional demands of the people and ensure their colorful life.
He expressed belief that the exhibition would add to the people the delight and joy in the future of the country, to be more civilized, and serve as a new springboard for the development of the country’s garment and footwear industry and an arena for exchange of advanced technology and experience.
At the end of the ceremony the participants went round the venue of the exhibition.
During the exhibition there will be a workshop on the immortal leadership exploits of the Workers’ Party of Korea associated with the garment and footwear industry, sci-tech presentation and experience presentation.
