Our Party’s Greatest Asset
The Workers’ Party of Korea is a powerful guiding force which assumes the most justifiable and sacred cause and successfully carries out revolutions unprecedented in history.
It is because it put forth the great revolutionary ideology which no one has ever had nor can have as its guiding ideology and gave full play to its absolute might with powerful agitprop activities that our Party has led the country and people only to victory for over ８０ years since its founding and is exalting its undying fame and prestige as a socialist political party with the longest ruling history.
Our Party and people accomplished the great causes of state and army building from scratch and wrought a miracle of war victory to be specially recorded in the world war history.
They also performed the world-startling miracle of building a socialist state making leaps and bounds at the Chollima speed on the debris of war.
All these are mainly attributable to the greatness of the revolutionary ideology of the WPK and the great mental strength which was further built up through constant ideological and spiritual training.
It is the invariable truth of Korean revolution that the greatest driving force and asset for development of revolution is the great revolutionary ideology as well as the powerful information and motivation forces that can turn the ideology into strength for transformation.
This truth has been clearly verified through the past １０-odd-year struggle during which a period of gigantic new changes was ushered in under the leadership of respected General Secretary
Cherishing an immovable view that even an egg, when charged with ideology, can break a rock, the respected General Secretary turned the period of extreme hardship into a great heyday by giving precedence to ideological work over all other undertakings in the new dynamic era.
The grand construction plan which had been set on a low standard in consideration of the existing conditions got higher and was rather overfulfilled.
The area of Wihwa Island became model and standard of regional transformation and Unjon County was transformed into a model entity and blueprint which gives a picture of the future of modern countryside and stockbreeding.
All these miracles and transformations could only be achieved by the outstanding leadership of our Party which finds reserves and potentiality in the inexhaustible absolute might of ideology and in ideological factors rather than in economic levers and solves all the problems by motivating the strength of ideology.
The respected General Secretary taught in his speech made at the closing ceremony of the Third Workshop for Officials in the Information Sector of the WPK that it is the Juche-oriented theory of ideology that should never change even though everything else in the world may change, and we are now absolutely confident in our future because we have ideological assets that we have accumulated in the long course of the revolutionary struggle and that will display their inexhaustible might in the future, too.
His words bear his steadfast will to more strictly adhere to the principle and stand of attaching importance to ideology and giving precedence to ideological work in the new era and in the course of pioneering new domains of struggle.
Ideological asset is our Party’s greatest asset today as it was yesterday and the foremost resource of our revolution.
We should continue to hold up the banner of ideology-first principle and win victory in all the future struggles with its irresistible might.
As there is the great revolutionary ideology and powerful information and motivation forces, the greatest asset of the WPK, the great idea and strong trend of the new era will be further accelerated and our people will achieve more dazzling transformations and win more brilliant glory.
