Despite Midsummer Heat

One day in August ２０１８, the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the Kumsanpho Fish Pickling Factory.

It was exceptionally wet and hot that summer and the weather of the day when he visited the factory was so sultry that one might be soaked with perspiration even if he stood still.

That day, looking round various parts of the factory, the respected Comrade General Secretary headed for the natural aging room.

As the temperature was hitting as high as ３９ degrees Celsius outside, the natural aging room was very hot as a brazier. The room was dedicated to making pickled fish get matured naturally under the conditions of normal air temperature. So, in sweltering days, even the employees of the factory shrank from going into the room.

However, the respected Comrade General Secretary unhesitatingly entered the stuffy room filled with the odor of pickled fish.

Feasting his eyes on aging tanks of the room, the respected Comrade General Secretary said that aging tanks should be well sterilized, underscoring the importance of the sterilization of aging tanks as pickled fish are produced with raw materials which were matured in aging tanks of a large capacity.

What he paid deep attention to at the combined control room was also the issue of strictly adhering to the hygienic demands in quality control.

While learning about the process of dietetic and hygienic analysis at the factory, the respected Comrade General Secretary taught that marine processing, in particular processing of pickled fish, unlike other foodstuff factories, should more thoroughly meet the hygienic demands and establish a more rigorous inspection system.

Then he warmly instructed to provide the Kumsanpho Fish Pickling Factory with analysis equipment as modern as those of the central-level analyzing organs.

The officials kept deep in the mind his instruction that the factory should fully guarantee the quality of its products by conducting process and goods inspection in a principled and rigid way after equipping itself with modern analysis equipment as the request of the great father.

Leaving the factory, the respected Comrade General Secretary repeatedly asked the officials and employees of the factory to mass-produce diverse tasty and highly nutritious pickled fish goods in the spirit of devotedly serving the people.

Indeed, his instructions of that day reflected his noble intention that only best things should be provided to our people.

Thanks to the love and benevolence of the respected Comrade General Secretary who made endless journey of devotion for people despite the parching heat in midsummer, "Kumsanpho"-branded pickled fish goods make active contributions to the people’s dietary life.
