It was just the respected Comrade General Secretary who had unfolded the far-reaching plan for turning the tree nursery into a model, standard of the tree nursery in our country where the production of tree saplings is put on a scientific, industrial and intensive basis as required by the era of the knowledge-driven economy when he had visited the tree nursery in December a year before.
Saying that though the modernization of the tree nursery would require much labor, once it has been done, it would make possible to safely produce tree saplings by an industrial method, the respected Comrade General Secretary had instructed that they should boldly press on with the project, regarding it as a supreme patriotic work for the eternal prosperity of the country. Then he had solved all the problems arising in the project ranging from design and supply of materials to construction force.
The proud reality of the tree nursery was, indeed unthinkable apart from the attentive guidance of the respected Comrade General Secretary.
That day, he said that building tree nurseries as modern as the Tree Nursery No. １２２ would create the capacity of producing hundreds of millions of tree saplings in an industrial way, underscoring the need to build tree nurseries in a bold and big way for the posterity.
Then he gave a truly meaningful instruction that we should devote patriotism to the work for the prosperity of all generations to come.
His meaningful instruction reflected his noble intention that forest restoration is a patriotic work we should carry out without fail for the eternal prosperity of the country and we should unsparingly devote strength and passion to it.
The officials hardened their will to devote patriotism to the work for turning our country into the people’s paradise in thick verdure, always remembering the precious instruction of the respected Comrade General Secretary.
Into Mountains of Practical Utility
One day in June ２０１９, the respected Comrade General Secretary had a talk with senior officials of the Party Central Committee and brought to topic the issue of afforesting mountains in a useful way and making use of them.
The officials were filled with remorse for failing to pay attention to the work of turning all the mountains in the country into golden and treasured ones.
Looking around the officials full of remorse, the respected Comrade General Secretary said that senior officials of provinces, cities and counties should pay attention to the work of turning all the mountains of the country into golden and treasured ones and make sure that a large number of good breeds of trees are planted when afforesting mountains.
They should wage the forest restoration campaign to turn the bare mountains into ones of practical utility, not just into green ones, he added.
After a while, he taught it is necessary to uphold the slogan of "Let us turn all mountains into useful golden ones!" in forest restoration campaign. And he stressed to review the implementation of the second-stage task of the forest restoration in light of quantity of trees of good breed conducive to making forest useful one they planted.
His precious instruction reminded officials once again that the work for making golden and treasured mountains is a patriotic work for providing substantial benefit and happy cradle to posterity.
