Electronic Refereeing System for Wrestling Game Developed
Scientists of the Microelectronics Center under the State Academy of Sciences have developed electronic refereeing system for wrestling game, the first of its kind in DPRK.
The system mainly consists of main controller, judge and scoreboard.
True to the lofty intention of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, scientists of the Center have made researches into developing electronic refereeing system for sports games which had been regarded as a monopoly of the certain countries.
The research group of the Center including Prof. and Dr. Ryu Song Un, director of the Center and Merited Scientist, introduced in the past large-sized scoreboards and real-time multimedia displays to various units of the sports field with positive support and assistance of officials of related units including the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, Kim Il Sung Stadium, Yanggakdo Football Stadium and Sports Science Library.
Labor hero Dr. Wang Chol Jong, chief of a research room, Merited Scientist Kim Kwang Ung, Jong Sung Hyok, Cha Chung Hyok and other scientists made indefatigable efforts to develop the system.
They successfully solved difficult scientific and technological problems such as developing the refereeing system in accordance with the new international game rule in a brief span of time. The new system can be applied to international tournaments.
The Microelectronics Center has designed electronic refereeing systems for ball games including football, basketball, volleyball and table tennis and integrated circuits to be used in the electronic refereeing systems for heavy weight games, swimming, track and field, shooting and other events. They also developed programs and built-in devices with international competitive power.
The electronic refereeing system for wrestling game helps players become familiar with the circumstances of international matches and thus relieve them from the sense of mental oppression.
