Put End to U.S. Occupation of South Korea
Sixty-eight years have passed since the U.S. imperialists occupied south Korea by force.
The United States, which took the defeat of Japanese imperialism as a golden opportunity to realize its ambition for putting Korea under its control, occupied south Korea by force of arms on September 8, 1945. It has imposed immeasurable misfortunes and sufferings upon the Korean nation.
It was the true intention of the U.S. to split the Korean Peninsula into two parts and turn south Korea into its colony and military appendage. The U.S. imperialists unleashed the Korean war early in the 1950s only to sustain ignominious defeat in the war. Even after the war, the U.S. has kept its forces under the name of "UN forces". This glaringly discloses its sinister intention.
The U.S. does not want détente on the Korean Peninsula. Because the détente would deprive it of its pretext for occupation and the doubt of the international community for the occupation would further grow. It therefore continues to strain the situation there deliberately.
The occupation of south Korea by the U.S. forces also goes against the trend of the time. Today the withdrawal of foreign forces becomes the trend of the world and the world community strongly demands to respect the sovereignty territorial integrity of other countries and nations. But only the U.S. persists in maintaining its military occupation of south Korea, which reveals its invariable aggressive ambition.
The U.S. is the root cause of a war as it leads the situation of the peninsula to a brink of a war by ceaselessly staging adventurous nuclear war tests against the DPRK.
Withdrawal of the U.S. troops from south Korea is good for peace not only in the Korean Peninsula but also in other parts of Asia and the world.
It will decisively bring about a phase favorable for peace and security on the peninsula and Northeast Asia. This means that the most dangerous hotbed of war in the world will be disappeared.
It is imperative to take the U.S. troops out of south Korea at an early date for peace and security on Korean peninsula, which is directly linked with the peace and security in Northeast Asia and the rest of the world.
