Reception Given to Mark 69th Founding Anniversary of PRC

 

 The Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and the DPRK-China Friendship Association hosted a reception at the Okryu Restaurant on Friday to mark the 69th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China (PRC).

Present there on invitation were Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK Li Jinjun, staff members of the Chinese embassy and Chinese students and guests staying in the DPRK.

Attending it were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, Ryu Myong Son, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Myong Guk, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Pak Chun Sik, vice-minister of Culture, Pak Kyong Il, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and chairman of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, and officials concerned.

Yang Hyong Sop said in his speech at the reception that the Chinese people have achieved great changes in different fields including politics, economy and culture, noting that the founding of the PRC was a historic event in which the first state of the people was built on the land of China.

He expressed conviction that the DPRK-China friendship would grow stronger by the joint efforts of the two countries as it is being deepened as required by the new era, true to the idea discussed at the meetings and talks between the top leaders of the two countries.

Li Jinjun said in a speech that the Chinese party and government sincerely hope that the Korean people will make bigger success in their efforts for their country's development under the leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Un.

Saying it is the steadfast policy of the Chinese party and government to creditably protect and cement the China-DPRK cooperative relations, he expressed his will to proactively promote the development of the China-DPRK friendship under an agreement reached by the supreme leaders of the two countries.
